Wonderful lunch!
We happened across Azuki while on a recent visit to NYC. We both ordered a lunch special and thought that the food and service were great and the value was amazing! Soup or salad, appetizer, choice of two rolls and wine or saki all for $11! We will be going back our next trip to town.

Delicious!
Love this place! 2nd Best Sushi/Japanese spot in the city, 1st being Hana Sushi. Anyway, Azuki's food is fresh and delicious every single time I go there. Great and fast service.

Not good
I had shrimp tempura and it smelled really off. The eel was fresher tasting but I've had much better. The miso soup reminded me of dish water. Don't waste your time or money.

Seat by the saki machine to be named...
3.5 for service is a poor rating. The staff perfected the meal. If they could keep a reservation I would give them a 5. Food was on point and the right price. When saki is low place the vessel near the machine. It comes back full in no time. go there late and there is no rush. Got in at 9:30, seated by 10 on a Friday night for 4. highly recommended.

Great food, small portions.
Food is delicious, but the portions are skimp like a reviewer said below. Small, noisy place to eat. I recommend to getting it to go.Well made sushi, nicely rolled and put together. I recommend salmon bento box. But be prepared for small portions.

My Favorite in Town
This is the best sushi place in the neighborhood. I order delivery from there several times a month for the past few years and they've never screwed up my order. They may have had an off day once out of a hundred time but other than that I haven't been disappointed. The quality of the fish is excellent and very tasty. I have also eaten in a bunch of times and always find them to be friendly. My particular favorites are the shumai, kani salad and philadelphia roll.

my favorite affordable sushi spot in nyc
Azuki is a gem in a city filled with mediocre sushi. First of all it is fun being there- it's long, narrow, candle-lit, a little loud at night, and the staff are amazing. Second, the sushi is always top notch. Fresh, tasty, and they have some innovative rolls. My boyfriend always gets a bento box with meat and loves it as well. Third, you get complimentary hot sake or white wine with dinner. Fourth, they have the best green tea tempura ice cream in the world! There are always lines because it is so popular, affordable, and trendy.... so get there before 7 for dinner, every night of the week.
