Average
Also had dinner here before theater. it wasn't nothing to brag about. i played it safe with just spaghetti with plain tomato sauce. i was glad i went that route.nothing fancy just like at home. it was very loud in there. just small atmosphere noise bounces off the wall. to many good places in new york to waste your time here. only perk ,wicked was playing right beside the joint.

Rude service ruins nice meal
Unlike an earlier reviewer, I found a good meal ruined when after we paid the check that was brought with dessert, we were immediately treated rudely by the wait staff. While we were eating they started taking every spoon or glass off the table unless it was in our hands. Two servers walked repeatedly walked over to the table and scowled at us. My adult son, who was not dawdling, basically wolfed down the nice dessert they had recommended. The second he finished, the chief waiter said he had to ask us to relinquish the table. We had no intention of prolonging the unpleasant experience, but he still managed to make it more unpleasant. As a party of six, we had spent a lot of money, but regardless this treatment was unprofessional and unacceptable.

Great pre-theatre lunch
Food and service were excellent. Great wine recommendation.

Thank you Azalea!
We were thrilled that Azalea's was close to the Gershwin Theatre. We ordered from the "Pre Theatre Dinner Menu" and everything we ordered was exceptional. The service was great and the waiters very courteous. The restaurant got packed; yet we were not asked to give up our table even though we had finished our dinner. Thank you Azalea for making our evening wonderful.

Pre-Theatre Bust
We decided to eat at Azalea before we saw wicked for their pre-theatre dinner. what a waste. the "steak" i ordered looked like a wet wash-cloth and tasted like it too. Even though the dinner was supposed to be some sort of deal, it wasnt even close to being worth it. I was very disappointed with the meal. The service was unnecessary as well. Every 2 minutes someone would ask if we needed anything and wouldnt even give us a chance to enjoy ourselves without them trying to sale us something else. The dinner was about 150 and i think we could have enjoyed a better dinner somewhere else.

Excellent
We had the best meal of our trip at Azalea. The service was wonderful, the people were very gracious. The food was outstanding. The value was also excellent. NYC, like everywhere else, continues to increase in cost. We had an excellent meal for a fair price. That is not easily found in NYC or anywhere for that matter these days. Bon Appetite!
