I love the food from this place but I won't order from them again. They almost never answer the phone and they consistently underestimate how much time delivery will take if you do manage to reach them. Last time I waited almost two hours for my food. Ridiculous.

i ordered from this place and they estimate 30 minutes. 50 minutes later i called them and they said they needed another 10 minutes. an hour and 20 minutes later they said the guy was on his way. there are enough other places in the general area to order from - don't bother with this sub par service.

I've eaten in the restaurant, but needed a new delivery option, and am so glad we tried Awash! It was superb. All the dishes were hot, and so delicious. Try it....you won't be sorry.

I have been hoping for an Ethiopian place to open in the Cobble Hill/Brooklyn Heights area for a long time. Awash, which I know and love from Manhattan, is a welcome addition. Great dishes, and very reasonably priced. I hope it succeeds here.

I was very eager to try the new Awash near downtown Brooklyn. I try to keep my expectations low for take out down here because generally the food is mediocre at best, and sometimes so subpar it's incredible that restaurants have the nerve to actually deliver it. Anyway, Awash is not that restaurant. My veggie combo was delicious, the flavors were subtle and fragrant, the injera was light and yummy, and there was plenty left over for lunch the next day. It was not heavy or oily. The yellow lentils and carrots/stringbeans were my favorite (and least spicy). Delivery was less than 30 min on a Friday night. This is a restaurant I will come back to.

A welcome new spot to Court street...we had a combination so go to try 5 dishes and really was quite good. Comparable to DC Ethiopian, which is a pretty high standard! Try it out!
