soooo impressed....
impressed, impressed, impressed ! Over the weekend we came to Aurora, we usually come 3-4 times a month from the city -we love the food- we were gonna have a drink at the bar and then dinner in the garden--this time we didnt make it to the garden - our eyes and comfort was on Auroras new eastern European bartender - so pleasant, charming, knowledgeable and just .... fantastic-it was very busy night and just watching him working it was such a entertainment-we spent more then we usually do and try two of his cocktails which we never do - we stick to wine only- they were fantastic. Me and my husband never write reviews but we had to do it this time - Aurora it has been great place.Never been so unpressed by dinning at the bar !

Poor Value, Small Portions
The quality of food was good but we found the portions too small. A $10 salad was the size appropriate for a small child. The tile fish was well prepared, but at $24 this plate was a rip off. Leaving this restaurant I felt fleeced.

Great Experience!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Had a date night last weekend and had a very nice time with wonderful food, a nice and knowledgeable server/staff, and charming ambience. Will be back...want to try out their happy hour too!

Lovely experience in Tuscany... I mean Brooklyn :-)
Many of the reviewers complained of the pretentiousness and elitism at this restaurant. Personally I found the wait staff to be very polite and accommodating, and the atmosphere to be reminiscent of an old-world Tuscan cafe. The al fresco dining was lovely. We enjoyed the croquette special, ravioli special, and linguini with clams. Our red wine beautifully complimented out meal. I highly recommend Aurora for a great dining experience.

Bland
I have been to Aurora on 2 occasions before last night. I remember the food being pretty good and decided to try it once more. Very dissapointed with the entire meal. We had the mushroom ricotta croquettes. They looked delicious, cheesy. But they had no taste. We had the pizzetta- again nothing special. We had the pasta special- seafood in marinara and the pasta with lobster. Both dissapointing. i tried using salt, pepper, parmesean but nothing helped. So many better places. Dont waste your time or money!

no longer impressed
I live very close by and used to love sitting in their beautiful back yard and eating some pretty food, not amazing, but nice food; it was very pleasant. However, the attitude of the servers and patrons alike has shifted to snobby, rude and elitist. I went back several times after I started feeling this way, thinking it must be a fluke. But, unfortunately, things have changed and it is now comically uptight and unpleasant. The food is still alright, but not good enough.
