Great Experience!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Had a date night last weekend and had a very nice time with wonderful food, a nice and knowledgeable server/staff, and charming ambience. Will be back...want to try out their happy hour too!

Lovely experience in Tuscany... I mean Brooklyn :-)
Many of the reviewers complained of the pretentiousness and elitism at this restaurant. Personally I found the wait staff to be very polite and accommodating, and the atmosphere to be reminiscent of an old-world Tuscan cafe. The al fresco dining was lovely. We enjoyed the croquette special, ravioli special, and linguini with clams. Our red wine beautifully complimented out meal. I highly recommend Aurora for a great dining experience.

Bland
I have been to Aurora on 2 occasions before last night. I remember the food being pretty good and decided to try it once more. Very dissapointed with the entire meal. We had the mushroom ricotta croquettes. They looked delicious, cheesy. But they had no taste. We had the pizzetta- again nothing special. We had the pasta special- seafood in marinara and the pasta with lobster. Both dissapointing. i tried using salt, pepper, parmesean but nothing helped. So many better places. Dont waste your time or money!

no longer impressed
I live very close by and used to love sitting in their beautiful back yard and eating some pretty food, not amazing, but nice food; it was very pleasant. However, the attitude of the servers and patrons alike has shifted to snobby, rude and elitist. I went back several times after I started feeling this way, thinking it must be a fluke. But, unfortunately, things have changed and it is now comically uptight and unpleasant. The food is still alright, but not good enough.

Great place
We have eaten here many times in the past 3 years and it gets better each time. The menu changes with the seasons, the food is fresh and beautifully prepared and served. They have an excellnet collection of Italian wines and are extremely helpful at selecting good ones in many price ranges.

good food- not so great service
my boyfriend and i go for brunch. it's the same every time the food is good- the atmosphere is great- but the service is lacking. the staff just is not attentive..... as long as you keep that in mind and ask for every possible thing that you will need for your meal at the get go- you should be okay. great space.....

It's your job
My most recent experience at Aurora was infuriating. We were a party of 11 who ordered three bottles of wine and some beer. The waiter opened the white and left the red on the table unopened. When he brought our beers, we requested he open the red. His response was "I can't open the wine and bring your beers at the same time." It is his job to open our wine and leaving it on the table unopened is not doing his job. We had to flag him down an hour after we sat down just to order. We had no option to comment on his service because the restaurant added a 20[%] tip automatically. It's a shame the food is so good because the service isn't.
