Everything is WOW!!! The food is delicious fresh. we felt like we were at our home but being served....homecooking all the way....real Lebanese dishes. Wine is another hit. Our night was perfet. Great romantic restaurant. Definately will be back for more. Waitstaff are the freindliest and nicest I have seen in NY. The owner is amazing. If you are looking for the perfect diner experience in a NY restaurant this is it.

Au Za'atar is my favorite place for Arabic food in NYC. The recipes are the closest to homemade Lebanese dishes and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Wait staff and managers are all especially nice and welcoming.

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant because I love the cuisine. Went for brunch and unfortunately waited 45 minutes for my meal with no one checking to explain what was taking so long. Then my order was wrong. I kept it and the food was good, but I was upset at the service. The manager felt so bad he gave me and my friend our meals without charge! So although it wasn't a great experience, I would go again. Seems like a nice place, so I hope it was just a glitch.

We went here last night based on an opentable review. We loved it and will definitely return. Great neighborhood 'joint'. We shared an Avocado Labne salad, which was plenty big for 2. Then had Lamb Kebab and Grilled Branzino (whole fish, filleted at the table). Everything was fresh, very well-seasoned and tasty. Lebanese home cooking, inspired by owner's mom, it doesn't get much better than that! Our waitress was delightful, and it's very reasonable as well.
