Vegan crepes and desserts here are awesome!

I pretty much eat here every day- healthy, fresh, and cheap! The people are really cool and there's also cool music playing while you wait for your food. Best for a quick laid back meal (the place is cramped) or take out. Get goat cheese on your sandwhiches- so good!

I ordered lunch from Atlas on delivery.com. It showed up relatively fast, but the condition it arrived in was obscene. I ordered the cous cous with vegetables, which also comes with a side container of "sauce" that you're supposed to dump over the platter. I also ordered a side salad and some iced tea. I could see as soon as the bag was handed to me that the container of sauce had spilled. But, because it's supposed to go over the platter of cous cous anyway, the delivery person didn't seem to view this as a problem or mistake. Unfortunately I was too hungry to fight him, so I paid and sent him along. Upon closer inspection I probably should have sent him packing with the food and no money. The sauce was EVERYWHERE. The salad had opened and carrots were falling out all over the place, and the iced tea wasn't properly packed up so that spilled a bit too. Opening everything was a nightmare that resulted in veggie sauce on my desk and t shirt. And i couldn't really take anything out of the bag. I just had to eat over the plastic and paper bags. And to top it all off - the food was only so so. Most of the reviews of this place are pretty good, and I may try going to the cafe, but I will never order their delivery again.

For a long time lover of all things New York, it amazes me that there are places I've not yet been to but last night friends took me to Atlas for the first time. Yes the place is tiny and the staff a little abrupt (I would be too if I worked in such small quarters) but even though we just had dessert, I am sold on the place. The chocoloate yougurt was phenomenal and the blueberries I had mixed in with it fresh and fruity. It's one of the last vestiges of old New York and well worth the visit.

I visited NYC on vacation with my boyfriend. I am a vegan and he's an omni, so I searched for some local places we could both eat, and this was one of those I came up with. We went initially to stock up on some Vegan Treats desserts for the week, but the place was just cool overall! Don't expect to be pampered - the staff is really chill and not afraid to yell "next!" over your shoulder, but only by necessity. Small staff, small space, large following! The food is flavorful, the soft-serve is huge, and the desserts are the best I've ever had, period. Try any of the cakes (and they sell huge slices for the best price in Manhattan!), and you'll see what I mean.

The Artichoke Chicken Sandwich is amazing! The Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich, not so amazing- too salty, I felt like I was getting a chemical peel in my mouth. However, the soups are great, as well as some of their pasta entrees. There menu can be a bit overwhelming, knowing what you want ahead of time is incredibly helpful. Yes the place is small, but forgiveably so. The staff is quite friendly, and the service is lightning quick! Take-out is the way to go here. Even for you claustrophobes, you'll be out of there before you can spell claustrophobia. If you are determined to dine there, the turnaround is decent- by the time your food is ready, you should have a place to sit. Bring a book and Enjoy! It's worth my trip in from Brooklyn.
