Just so so
I have eaten here a couple of times and though the atmosphere is pleasant enough feel somehow unsatisfied. The grilled fish is fine but can get the same elsewhere - including their other restaurants - just as good. The house entrees are overly fussy and sometimes the sauces just don't work - especially fruit salsa.

Great Food, Small Portions.
I thought the food at Atlantic Grill was excellent. We had sushi to start and it was fantastic. The coconut shrimp with mango roll was out of this world. Some of the freshest sushi I've had. I ordered the mahi mahi and, while delicious, came on a huge plate with a very small piece of fish that I finished in 2 minutes. I would go back to Atlantic Grill but would order more sushi to start in order to compensate for small portions.

Dressed-up ordinary food
Have been going here since opening week, when the food was creative and well worth the moderate prices. The prices have inched up while the portions have decreased. The sauces are too ambitious for this kitchen; most are barely edible. The atmosphere is lively & fun & the service is always accommodating & friendly. Nothing here is exciting!

Consistently great
I have dined at Atlantic Grill several times. The sushi is wonderful, raw bar selections all chilled and delicious, and the entrees are constantly good. The seafood cobb is a favorite of mine, as well as the Mahi Mahi dinner. The desserts here are simply divine. The service is always good, and the hostess is friendly every time. Reservations are always a good idea because this place gets packed for dinner. I will definitely continue to eat here.

Expected more
I have dined there a few times and always felt bored. The food is good but I expected more...especially for the price.

The Long term review
I've eaten at Atlantic Grill many times and it never changes. The food is dependably good, though the wine list seems to get pricier, (what doesn't) Service is always helpful and friendly from the wait staff, but the maitre 'd is always as friendly, organized or truthful as you might hope. The rule here is to expect that your reservation will be disregarded by at least 15 minutes. Which has kept me from going as frequently as the quality of the food might suggest. Excellent sushi/roll dishes. Food quite good.

I am Digging it!
I have lived in NY for only a year, and have had lots of bad dining experiences. This one was great! The free-range chicken was very good as was the service. We were at a tight table, but overall really great experience. With so many restaurants in NY there is hardly a need to go to one more than once, but I will go back to this one. Thanks for a lovely meal.
