While the food is good, that is not enough anymore to remain a successful establishment. There is a "something" in the attitude/atmosphere of this place which leaves a bad taste. The menu listed lobster at $26/lb. I ordered a "small" lobster as a main. When the check came, the cost of the lobster was stated to be $52. I politely questioned the math, and the waiter immediately passed me on to a so-called "manager" who told me that they ONLY had 2 and 3 lb lobsters. I said that a 2lb lobster is not a "small" one and that small is generally understood to be 1, 1.25, or 1.5 lbs. He said that their "small" was 2 lbs, but then admitted that they had 1 lb lobsters. He said that the 1 lb ones are for appetizers, which directly contradicted his statement about the alleged lack of smaller ones. He would take no financial responsibility for this, or even admit their policy was misleading. Why is it necessary for business owners to act like this? It does not generate more revenue in the long run.

I live in the neighborhood, have eaten here a few times... the service is good, the fish is fresh, but they rarely season their dishes AT ALL. Most of the dishes are rather bland. Definitely nothing special here.

I have lived on the UES for 7 years and this is my first visit to the Atlantic Grill, but it won't be my last. The atmosphere is lovely, the front desk staff is extremely busy but polite. Our waiter was funny and very accommodating. My sister and I ordered the crab cake beneedict as well as the one with smoked salmon. Each dish came with roasted potatoes and fruit, along with complimentary bellinis. Everything was tasty and the portions were larger than expected. I will definitely be back! Word of advice-make reservations! When we walked out, there was a long line of people hoping to grab a table and enjoy the nice weather.

i have been here man many times- the food is good and the ambiance is what sells it- overpriced and somewhat snobbish but the main problem is the very limited fish menu as well as the lunch menu- each of which never changes- how about a sole meniere or almondine- too trivial eh? oh well maybe someone will open another fish house in the neighborhood that has some trivial fish dishes as well as affordable prices.

Although the food was excellent, the service here stood out and was the nicest and most attentive ever received-please keep it up!

My friends took me here for my birthday & we thoroughly enjoyed the food. With the seafood tower we were able to enjoy a variety of the freshest, most delectable oysters and clams I've tasted in the City. It was like we were right next to the ocean! The shrimps were large as prawns. We spent the day raving about their Special House Roll of the day. It was a Maki that had Asian pears, avocado, tuna & other wonderful ingredients that at first sounded interesting but in the end w're even more scrumptious together than we ever would have imagined! If we could have fit it, we would have ordered more! I would definitely recommend this place & can't waited to go again.

This place has gone downhill, the portions have shrunk and the prices have gone up. They also changed the menu and took off some of the entrees with taste. If you like fresh food without taste or seasoning then this is the place for you. Service is usually decent, but don't sit in the kid section by the kitchen.
