Athena has the best Greek food ever, my family loves going there, the Chef/owner has the best personality and his recipies are great. We love to have our get togethers there, they give so much food and the service is great. My husband loves the shrimp saganaki and steak, my kids enjoy having the spinach pie and Greek fries and I love their very fresh fish (Oreta) with Grek oven potatoes. We bring our own wine and lets don't forget about the belly dancer every Thursday, she is so friendly and knows how to move!!! We try to be there every Thursday and make it our family day. We wish this place the best!!!

I'm from Astoria, Queens, so I know Greek food! This place serves delicious Greek food. The service is good and the Greek gentlemen who were there on the evening of 9/12 were very polite. This is a down-to-earth and good addition to the Park Slope restaurant scene.

We'll be back again soon. Both the three-course brunch (appetizer, entree, and dessert plus coffee, juice, and croissants) and the service were superb. When we said we were too full for dessert, the owner encouraged us to take his homemade bread pudding to go. And we are glad we did.

We had the best diner at Athenas. Exellent and very fresh seafood, the waiter was very friendly.

I've been here twice for lunch and dinner and had great experiences both times. Love the tzatziki, and the marinated lamb. Excellent service and attention to detail. Laid back homey atmosphere. I project Athena will become one of my favorite eateries in the Slope.

An authentic Greek restaurant in Park Slope? And good? Let's say better than good, excellent. We went there for Mother's Day and if that ain't the test - what is. The staff, first off is so accommodating. Very kind and happy to be serving you, thrilled to know everything on the menu and excited that you are even there. We were lucky to have a special Mother's Day Menu for $40. We started with a sampler of Greek appetizers, Pastitsio, Moussaka And Spinach Pie each one delicately spiced and carefully prepared. i especially loved the spices in the spinach pie. i ordered the branzini, which was infused with fresh thyme. the lamb chops were served with a rich gravy. the girls had penne and ravioli and loved it - cleaned their plates. never heard of - really! dessert was wonderful, fresh and honey filled pastries, bread pudding, and creme brulee. i highly recommend this place to everyone. remember - it's byob - but that makes me happy too!

We had Spanakopita, Moussaka, Shrimp saganaki and the Spartan combo with string beans and every dish was amazing. The waiter was very friendly and pleasant. We´ll be back very soon to try new dishes.
