Good food, good value
Sorry to disagree with you Sarah, but Astro offered the best value of all the places I tried in New York with the exception of Art Cafe Restaurant on Broadway. Astro has a huge menu, the food is delicious and plentiful, and I got excellent value for money. The problem with places like the Carnegie and Stage Delis is that we are expected to pay over the odds for the privilege of turning up there!

Good Food, way too expensive
Good stuff to be had, great ceaser salad and sandwiches, omlettes yummy too (plain eggs kinda greasy thou), pretty much all food is really good, but it is so outrageously expensive for a diner, even in the area that it's found. It can't compete in the category of food with delis like the Carnegie, so it shouldn't try to compete in prices.
