Stellar event
More than a meal, Aska provides a dining journey into unique, divine and beautifully presented plates. As a vegan, I figured I'd throw them a curve and the vegan plates would be the usual uninspired and disdainful attempts to be garnered most other places. Quite the opposite, the dishes (including, of course the standard dishes my eating companions received) were divinely inspired, elevated beyond craftsmanship to a near spiritual experience. These people understand and respect every item of food they work with. They elevate the flavors and textures of every bite. They understand vegetables as glorious in their own right, not just a bit of color to add to the plate. The service was something special, each of the seven courses announced and described by a chef. Whatever cuisine you enjoy, ASKA is an event not to be missed.
