    Really tasteless food!

The room is exciting, the service adequate, but the food is subpar. The halibut tasted as if it had been defrosted and refrozen and defrosted again. The appearance of the food (styling) was lovely, but somebody in the kitchen doesn't know anything about flavor!

    just wanted to say

We came for brunch on Valentine's day and loved it, so we returned a few weeks later for a window view. What a pleasant surprise that the candy upon leaving is a regular thing---at least on weekend brunches

    Brunch - Disappointing

Spectacular view without a doubt but don't expect to be blown away by the food or service. The bread basket contained croissant that were not even close to French pastries - no fluffiness, buttery taste or crisp at the bite. The foursome petite plate with soup, fish, beef and chicken bun was bland. The mushroom soup was tasty, yet not hot enough. The sauces drizzled ever so slightly on the other two gave them flavor but wasn't memorable enough to even describe. The chicken bun is a little snowball without taste. The main entree consisting of two pairings of your choice was better - fish was crispy but the pasta with ricotta and mushrooms well over-cooked. The dessert, another pair, of pistachio cake and chocolate mousse cake were both very dry and screamed for a dip in a fruit juice which was dried up on the plate just for decoration. It would have done more good if it moistened the cakes instead of just looking "pretty." The service obviously still not awake at rbunch since we told them of a nut allergy and yet they brought out the pistachio cake and it took 3 tries for them to bring out the proper substitute. For the cost it wasn't worth it!

great view, food is not special

...very nice decor and view (if you get the right table), i got v unlucky with poor service but perhaps that was an off day for them. food is good, but not in the same league as other high end NYC places (bouley, jean georges etc).

    Amazing

We eat brunch every sunday- but this was really special!! From the hostess to the booth we sat in, the incredible views of NYC, the apetizers, unbelieveable food (try the eggs benedict, fruit stuffed french toast and miso glazed cod)...the list goes on. Service was incredible, pre fixe had great options, sorbet in between courses was fabulous and dessert was strawberry and cream and chocolate molten cake. Go here if like variety, great service, beautiful views and a truly amazing brunch.

Best brunch I have ever had!

This place has provided if not the best, then one of the best brunch experiences I have ever had! Although it is $50/person, it is SO worth it! You will be SO stuffed after eatting brunch here....it's more like a pre-fixed dinner during brunch time. When you go in, you choose two entrees for brunch...your appetizers and dessert are already pre-determined. We got four appetizers (small samples) and all were so good! They had a butternut squash soup which was really good, a cold salmon that had califlower pureed thing on the bottom (wow...the califlower part was SOO amazing), noodles w/ shrimp (this was good but more plain and simple compared to the other appetizers.....something you could find in your local deli but still really good) and a pork bun (it was cute but nothing unusual since I eat these at dim sum all the time). I got their lobster frittata, good but I would have tried something more unusual on their menu and their broccoli rabe ravioli. The broccoli rabe ravioli was SO fantastic....the pieces of sun-dried tomatoes on top, you could tell they were not processed and all natural. The sauce the broccoli rabe ravioli was in was phenomenal...but I am also nuts about anything w/ truffle oil/flavors. For dessert, they brought out two: a cake which was really good and a lighter yogurt-like thing w/ passion fruit glaze on top. Both were really good but I was so full I couldn't finish... Beautiful view (you look down and see central park from floor to ceiling windows) and the service is superb!
