Can't stay away from this place!

I probably order from here about twice a week. I never expected much from it, considering its name, but it's proved to be my favorite sushi place in East Midtown. The sushi is excellent, as is the rest of their menu — good Pad Thai, teriyaki chicken and noodle-soup dishes. The service is just as excellent as the food. Extremely fast, observant and friendly. Their delivery service never fails to surprise me with its speed. The one thing you MUST try when you go here: the snow crab and avocado roll. I get it every time I go. Amazing. Prices are definitely decent as well, especially if you get the lunch special: two rolls and soup/salad for $8, three rolls and soup/salad for $10.

    Asian Station Lunch

I like the variety of food. I recently relocated to this area (East 50's) and discovered this spot one day. The food is fresh and the choices are vast. As a previous person noted, if you call a few minutes ahead, your order is ready on arrival. The staff is also very helpful and willing to take the time for special requests or last minute changes to my orders. It's a good place to eat and a good value for the area.

    Good lunch spot, fast delivery

I frequent this place for lunch, and it offers fast service (call 10 mins with your order prior to pick up, it gets quite busy during the lunch hours) and good food.

    Rude rude rude

I enjoyed ordering from Asian Station since its opening. However, I recently received surprisingly rude service. During a phone order , I was rushed before I could complete my entire order. The person on the phone said ok send to kitchen, at that instance I said no onions please. Instead of helping to correct the order because she did not listen carefully, she proceeded to blame me for not interrupting her when making the order. She started to argue with me, mentioning that nothing could be done since it was sent to the kitchen and if I could pick out the onions!!. I thought she was joking. I explained there is a reason why I cannot have onions. I asked to speak with the Manager, she said we dont have one. Really? I met the GM prior. Are you kidding me. Unfortunately, that was not a good reason. I'm upset about the downward spiral of this restaurants service.

Poor Service, Mediocre Food, Tacky Interior...

Even for Manhattan such combination of mediocore food and poor service is truly hard to come by. The place looked nice from outside...we were tempted and walked in. Other than a couple sitting by the window, place was empty. Surprising for such busy location fronting 52nd, bwn Lex and 3rd teaming with after work crowd. But in retrospect, we later found out why it was empty. We ordered drinks and settled at the sushi bar. Shortly, the head waitor/manager rudely intrrupted our conversaton and with visible contempt demanded to know if we were ordering any additional drinks. As we took a second to ponder he walked off and would't acknowledge us for some time as he was exchanging jokes with suishi chefs. When we were blessed with attention we quickly dictated our order for additional drinks and sushi. Sushi was remarkably mediocre, wine was skillfully underpoured and mojito...tasted nothing like you'd expect..how get you screw that up? In few minutes the waitor barked at us again -- do we want anything else? Maybe a bit larte we said. At which point we were promptly stiffed with a check. Other than us the place was empty, the decore felt plastic and the rude service left a very bad taste in our mouths...or was it bad sushi and bad drinks? We put roughly 12% tip, which in retrospect was beyond generous.

    Great Value

Great lunch specials at a good value. Sushi was good, not the best, but you pay for the value. If you are looking for a good filling meal at a good price this is a great lunch spot.
