    I don't understand the poor recent reviews . . .

Folks from my office go to Asian Station regularly, and we find it's everything a decent Midtown lunch place should be and more: varied Asian specialties (Chinese, Thai and Japanese) attractively presented, prepared by people who know their food and reasonably priced. Yes, it's crowded at lunch time, but service is quick and you almost always get in. What's not to like?

    Good Asian Food in Midtown

My friends and I went for lunch and after we were seated, we had to wait a while for a server to take our order. There were enough wait staff so not sure why there was such a delay. This is not good for people who are on a limited lunch break. Also, the restaurant was too noisy (bad acoustics?) and service was quite slow. The good thing is that we did enjoy our food.

    Nice but dropping...

When this place opened up a couple years ago I went regularly b/c the food was tastey, nice atmosphenre and they were reasonably priced for the City. Although the service was never the absolute greatest, they were courteous. Now they seem borderline rude and the portions have become a bit scant. The food still isn't bad but their attitudes have turned me off a bit.

Great looking menu but it's a FAIL

Went to have lunch with my co-worker there today around 12:30. They have 3 people waiting on about 50 and I never received my meal. There was no soup today so they gave us salad instead which was pretty good. The place is small, cramped and the waitress never look up to see if anyone needs something. My co-worker received his meal after a 10 minute wait(rated it a 2.0), and 20 minutes later I still had not received my plate so we left $15 (too much now that i think about it) on the table and left. Looking around, several other people had the same problem

    Service has sharply declined!

I used to go to Asian Station once a week. Skipped the last month, went today (6/2), what a drop in service. Food was late, hardly any eggplant in dish, hostess seating us was rude. She was looking to cram every table as full as possible, so she denied my request for seating. They sat 7 people at 2 tables (normally seats 4). So tight in there waitress spilled soup on customer. I had to move my table and ask people at next table to move so I could leave the table. It was so tight I knocked a glass off the table. Waitresses looked up, but nobody came over to make sure everyone was ok. It was the same girls running the place, so I'm not sure what's going on. Won't be running back next week.

    What Happen

I work in the area and when it first opened I was the best advert they could ask for. However in the last few months it has gotten worse and worse. Cold food even if you eat in. Service rude, and neglectful. Lacks flavor and zest it use to have. I would skip and try other places. Oh and the portions are less and less each time I go in. No more Asian Station for me.

    Going downhill?

I've been going to this place since it opened, and would tell everyone how awesome the food is. Lately, though, it seems like it's changed. The past 2 times I've been there, the food has tasted...different. Last time I got the Szechuan Peppercorn Crispy Chicken, and when I put it in my mouth, the breading sort of disintegrated into a disgusting powerdy texture. It was so weird.
