My Go 2 spot!
This is the spot for the freshest sushi or great tasting chinese food. I am a regular and enjoy the staff quality of food and value. I have never been disaapointed and have been going there religously for 2 years!

Great place to get Chinese!
This is probably one of the better places to get Chinese in midtown. The food quality is superb and the prices are fair. They offer a wide variety of Japanese & Chinese cuisine. Highly recommended.

It's Heavenly!
This is one my favorite places to go for Chinese and Sushi in midtown. I've never had a bad meal there. When I go frequently they throw in freebees, like free drinks or free desert. I don't know any restaurants that are so generous and friendly. I'm surprised to read the few negative reviews. It doesn't sound like this place at all. btw- The table buffet is genius. Had a birthday party there once. My friends couldn't believe how good the food was for the price --$10 a person! They bring out the plates onto a giant lazy-susan in the middle of your table (so it's not a Buffet for the whole restaurant -- just for you and your guests at the table). It was great.

Yum!
Ordered to my office today, and everything was great. Miso soup was good. Shrimp dumplings/shumai was the best I've had (med sized full sized shrimp, not minced up, and rice paper not heavy dumpling stuff). General Tso Tofu - best I've found in NYC. Usually the tofu is soft, cold, and uncooked just swimming in sauce. These are firm cubes, flash fried and delicious. Will definitely order again. Oh and the delivery guy was nice too - I appreciate a smile.

Go elsewhere
I ordered Juicy Dumplings, beef chow fun, and General Tso's Chicken for delivery. Pretty standard food for a Chinese restaurant in NYC. Somehow, the only thing they managed to get somewhat right were the Juicy Dumplings (which were cold). The chicken was tasteless, cold, and chewy. They were all out of Chow Fun so they asked if they could substitute pad thai noodles instead...they're just not the same. The only saving grace was that they threw in 2 Coors Lights because of the noodle swap. Even with the free beer, I will never order from here again. There are much better restaurants in the neighborhood...

surprisingly good sushi
One of my rules when it comes to sushi was not to eat sushi at a Chinese restaurant. I have to say I was surprised when I had a couple of rolls from this restaurant last week(was with friends and they insisted to have some sushi). We asked the sushi chef to use his imagination to create a roll that 's not the menus just for us. Let me tell you, the presentation of the no-name roll was beautiful and the flavor profile of the roll was just as good as the presentation. Another roll we had was the spider roll. The soft shell crab was fresh, and was just lightly battered(which was important cuz you don't want to end up with a mouth full of dough). For 7 bones, it was a lot better/less expensive than some of the sushi houses that I have been to. I may not willing to try sushi at another Chinese restaurant again, but I definitely will eat more sushi at Heavenly Bamboo. Very good deal consider the quality of the sushi.

Too much oil!
the chicken wings were too oily, the mixed veg w/ chicken also had too much oil. they overcharged me and were not accomodating.
