    Wow....subpar

This place is completely ridiculous. The prices are horribly inflated and the service is absolutely atrocious. Overall...our experience was awful and we never will be going back again....

    an olde friend

Ok guys .....your'e nice and stuff ......but come on...get off the high horse a little( maybe) and remember you are just a bar with good food . Just 'cos 'Wolensky' is around the corner doesnt mean that you are his ugly cousin. Be what you are best , Be yourself . Because, at being yourself you are the best (in your own neighborhood off course)

    Great Food, Pricey

Had fish and chips and Shepherd's Pie. Both were very good, as were the 4 Guiness, but overall this place is just a bit too pricey for a bar. $19 fish & Chips plus tax and tip means closer to $30. A burger was around $13. They looked good but that is really a steakhouse price. French Onion looked great too. It was pretty empty on a Wednesday night so the service wasn't bad. I can see it being too slow if it were busy. Good music on the jukebox.

    Excellent private sports bar!!!!!

The night that my wife and I arrived in NYC, we were reccommended to check out Ashtons. From now on, I will frequent this establishment when I am in the city. We arrived on a Sunday night and watched the fourth quarter of the Colts / Patriots game. The place was loaded with Patriots fans like myself, and we cheered them on to glory. Within the next several days, my wife and I enjoyed several drinks and meals at Ashtons. The bar is rather light on the amount of draft options, and the hotwings are not "hot" at all. BUT, the service was 5 star from begining to end. And on the last night we were there, we stopped in for drinks late in the evening. Our bartender was exempilary! Please visit Ashton's when in town.....definitely a home away from home for me.

Great Food, Great Service and Great Price

I just have to write a review for Ashton's I just love this Restaurant, Bar, I am from Atlanta, and I was had a Business Metting in Midtown, my client suggested Ashton's , I was met at the door by a manager who showed me to a table, and when I asked her to make some suggestions for lunch, she was only too happy to oblige, the place was packed, the food was great and the prices were low for what we had. I had a Rib Eye steak, which melted in my mouth with homemade mashed potatoes & mixed vegetables, my client has shrimp scampi with Rice and Vegetables it looked so good, we started with Irish Smoked Salmon & Calamari, two sodas and coffee, I consider $70 a great price for the amount of food we had, the wait staff were wonderfull. Since then I have gone back to Ashton's several times both for dinner and lunch when I am in town, I love the TV's, you can watch the stock market while you eat or a game if it is Dinner time, light music in the background, overall a very nice experience.

    Fantastic Food, Service & Underpriced

Ashton's is a hidden secret in Midtown, you have to check it out, Filet Mignon $26 a steal, Rib Eye Steak that melts in your mouth all entrees are served with Vegetable & Potato. Wine list very reasonable prices start at $24 up to $36. The Irish Smoked Salmon is my favourite appetizer, and the seafood specials every night are very tasty, there are also great pasta dishes, every night there is a pre-fixe menu as well for $22. I have had lunch and dinner here and I keep going back. Lunch is really nice and really busy and very corporate, service is fast and food once again is great. People wait for tables at lunch time Inow know to reserve especially at lunch time. This is one restaurant you have to try.

The Best Bar Food In The Neighborhood

It really is. Best burgers, great fish and chips, best salads, best service. On and on. Oh, and their savory pies are fabulous. It's all standard pub fare, but taken up just a teche. I would happily have lunch here every single day. The prices have gone up from when it was a really good value. Now I would call the value maybe average or a bit below. Still, I love the place.
