Not recommended for food
I live right next to Ashton's. I go there for beer on occasion. Their atmosphere is great. But I don't recommend the food. I think it's overpriced. The service is never great, either.

Excellent across the board
I literally just finished my Monte Cristo sandwhich and I was taken back by how good it was. I took it to go but walked into the bar by accident. Everything smelled great in there. They now have another regular.

Best Food, Best Prices
Ashton's Cafe is great for a lunch take out, really big portions at a great price. Up Stairs there is a really nice restaurant & bar with lots of plazma tvs. Great Surf & Turf, Rack of Lamb, Sea Food, Salads, can't say enough about the food, also great desserts..Chocolate Boule, Great Cheese Cakes. Always enjoy myself in this restaurant you have got to try it. In the Summer the front opens on to the street.

The best bar food in the neighborhood
Ashton's has incredibly burgers, great fish and chips, wonderful meat pies, friendly service, and good prices. I've been going there for years and have never had a bad meal. Ever. I've never done take-away from there. I note that the menu on this site is considerably smaller than in the actual restaurant.
