    We love this place

My colleagues and I find ourselves ordering from here everyday. They offer a great variety of soups on a daily basis. They arrive hot and delicious every time. Is it a bit expensive? Yes Is it worth it? Yes

    Not worth it

I stopped in to pick up some soup at the urging of my co-workers. They told me the soup was expensive but worth it. I found it to be the exact opposite....not particularly expensive but definitely not worth it. I had wanted the Tomato Basil soup which the girl who served me told me they were out of for right now. Which begged the question, any idea of how long till you might have more. No idea. So I got the chicken noodle soup instead ($3.25 for a large not expensive but not cheap either). The soup was mostly noodles in a rather tasteless broth, the few pieces of chicken I did manage to find were unappetizing, some were tiny like dark chunks that didn't even look like chicken. The white meat looked like it was barely cooked...some of the little pieces looked almost raw in spots. Unfortunately there was so little chicken in the soup that by the time I discovered how undercooked it looked I was already half way through.

    A for Ashby's

I frequent Ashby's on a regular basis and I am never let down. Everything from the Coffee to the Hot Meals and everything in between...there is no better soup in the area, made fresh daily. yum

    Yuppie?

Obviously you don't know that you have to pay to have nice things. This is an excellent place with fresh sandwiches unlike the other places. Ashby's is fast and fresh. I go every day...

    Got what I needed

I wanted a good soup and sandwich with a cup of coffee. It was all freshly prepared and tasted good. I will use Ashby's when I am in that area again.

    Yuppie takeout

This place exists to service the corporate types who don't have the time to find better sandwiches more reasonably priced elsewhere in the area (see Lite Delights, two blocks north...) Takeout only.
