not fancy
this is a nice little pizza joint on the UES been here for ever and is a great little pizza joint. it does not pretend to be the hip place, just get your pizza and keep walking

Not the best on UES
I do not understand all the great reviews for this place. The pizza is relatively cheap for the UES, this must tell you how it tastes. I wonder about the reviews because almost all the great things I read about this place on this site are the exact things I find upsetting: canned sauce, overly greasy, low quality cheese. Arturo's is not bad but hardly great.

Best UES Pizza!
This pizza is great--- thin crust, and super-garlicy sauce! The pizza sauce tastes more like marinara. Every other pizza place that I've gone to in the neighborhood has been just okay... but this place is the best!! This is definitely take-out only, though... the pizza shop itself is super-tiny.

best pizza in this neighborhood
I'd have to say that this is the best pizza in this neighborhood, at least that I've had. Few places will deliver a small pizza and Arturo's 12" is either personal sized if you're really hungry or will leave you with a few extra slices to enjoy the next day. The delivery is quick and reliable and the pizza tastes great. It's definitely my go-to pizza place on the UES.

Inconsistent
I've lived on York ave. 12 years. This place is just OK. The dough is inconsistent, many times they mixed it far too long ago and has not risen properly. Sauce & cheese are low quality.

I like it, I like it alot
The pizza is mighty tasty. I'm partial to cheese, because if a place can make a good cheese pizza, then they can make *pizza* in my book. It's not too greasy, not too salty. It's just right. And their heros aren't so bad either. Yum!
