Ordered pizza at 5:30pm. Called back at 6:10pm to follow-up. Was promised to get pizza in 15 min. Called back at 6:45pm. Was promised to get pizza in 5 min. Called again by 7:10pm to cancel. They agreed but sent the pizza by 7:15pm

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant once a month on and off for the past four years. The other night, we just wanted a light dinner: soups, salad and a drink. We were told by the waiter when we placed the order that we could not sit at the table because we did not meet the minimum $15.50 per person requirement to sit at the table, and should move to the bar. The restaurant had tables available, so we were not taking up a needed spot. The waiter's attitude was both rude and disinterested. My wife and I felt very uncomfortable, we eat out several times a week and have never had this happen before. We pass by the restaurant every night on the way home but we will never go there again.

we are from out of town and this was walking distance to where we were stating. the best part and worst part was sititng in the open window for dinner- very romantic, but too many people walking their dogs by and letting them poop right in front of us - pullease! Anyway, that aside, the service was good, efficient, nothing over the top-no conversation with the waiter! The food was good, I have had better. The prices were typical NY, not outrageous but average for a UES neighborhood. All in all a nice meal. I may or may not go back, but would probably try somewhere else first.

I think Arturo's been around since I was in grammar school on E 82nd, but I'm so glad I finally gave it a try after years of bland UES disappointments. I was craving hearty, old-school Italian, and their pasta Bolognese and eggplant rollatini were it! Nothing precious here - just tasty and fresh; even the bread, which I've come to expect but rarely consume, arrived soft and warm - perfect for scooping up every bit of the rich sauce.

Ok, so their food is out of this world. You can taste their Chicken Franciaise and hear the angels singing in heaven. However, they are really fussy about delivery and substitutions...they won't just put a little oil and garlic on my pasta...they ONLY follow what is on the menu (I'm kind of allergic to tomatoes)....SO RIGID. I wish they'd relax. Otherwise, it is the best Italian I've ever eaten.

The food is suberb and the service is even better. I highly recommend it.

I have tried many Italian Restaurants in the city. By far this is the best I have ever had. The food is amazing and the help is exceptional. This is a real unique experience when you go here to eat. I recommend it to everyone I know and all love it too. Absolutely perfect!
