A disappointment
Beet salad was pretty good. The fondue was not good. They served cold, bland cheese and no one on the wait staff seemed to care. A tasteless experience.

Over-rated
I was taken there for my birthday and despite reservations, we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. My host asked for the salad to start and I had to wait about 45 minutes without being served until she finished it. The waiter neglected to tell us that the entrees come with salad and instead had the nerve to bring a second salad with the main course. It was bland and undressed and when served on the same plate as the entree fell off the plate. When I was finally served a grilled cheddar cheese sandwich, it was ice cold and bone dry and the cheese resembled cottage cheese. I was goaded into ordering dessert from their sparse menu which was a take-off on lemon merangue pie but the lemon custard was so eggy that it was more like hard boiled yolks. In short, the place was over priced and the service was poor.

Steak Tartar
This is one of the few places in the city I dare to order a steak tartar. Never disappoints. The place is very noisy. But it's a bistro!

Umimpressive
As a cheese lover, i expected a lot more, even if it was restaurant week. it was just average, barely. i've definatly had much better salmon. the mac and cheese (we ordered off the fixed menu) was pretty good, but the rest of the food was unbalanced. example: starter was oversalted while entree had almost no taste, pershaps my taste buds stopped working after the first course. will not be returning.

Do not go for the fondue
Even though the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, the service is slow and the food below average. We had a cold cheese soup they called fondue. However, the taste was poor and the cook used water instead of wine. Not recommendable.

Excellent food!
The food was amazing...the absolute best cheesecake and french onion soup I've ever tasted. The tables are really close together and it was a little loud, but it didn't really take away from the great taste of the food. if you are looking for a quiet, calm, romantic dinner, this is probably not the best place, but if you want an amazing food experience with people who appreciate good cheese, check it out!

Good food, atmosphere, poor service
We went for a lunch - the restaurant was uncrowded (this was the holiday weekend). Food was spectacularly good, though the waiter and service staff couldn't seem to get the order right and even completed. Thankfully the serving sizes were so generous that sharing was easy and didn't leave anyone hungry (We split 3 meals amongst 4 of us since we ran out of time and couldn't wait for them to fix the 4th party member's meal). The restaurant offered us free dessert, which was a nice gesture, making me think this was a one off occurrence. I would return again, thinking this place is generally good for service, though I have no idea if this is the case. The food is good enough that it is worth a second try.
