The serviceware was not clean. The dining area is simply sloppy from the floors to the tables to the staff uniforms. The food is good, a bit greasy, and the service is usually average or subpar unless you get one of the old timers.

You can't deny some of the great deli fare at Arties, but it is the atmosphere (particularly at lunchtime) that leaves a lot to be desired. The place is consistently full of very young kids; loud, spoiled kids at that, who can easily ruin ones dining experience with constant screaming an squealing. I guess it comes with the territory in this neighborhood, but a separate Nannyland would be a welcome addition to this restaurant.

Well, we saw this place from afar and it looked like the classic adorable new york deli. However, this was not the case! My girlfriend ordered a cheese omelet w/onions....she got five layers of eggs and a some camelized onons (I'm all bout the carmelized onions on a burger..but not a omelette) and we are still wondering where the cheese is? I on the other hand got the ("recommended on the menu") rated pastrami omelette which I had to add cheese to. And it stil was too much egg. The pastrami was fatty..and you didn;t even get toast with the 10 dollar disappointment. We spent the rest of the day saying "f'ing arties"! But hey they did have a great ranch dressing..and I AM a connoisseur. :-);Just didn't think it was possible to mess up eggs.

OK, if you have high cholesterol, stay away. If you're on Lipitor or don't have an LDL/HDL problem come and enjoy. I enjoyed my dish here. The pastrami is a bit fatty, but isn't it supposed to be to be the tastiest? The hamburger I had was delicious, mashed potatoes and gravy very good. I was dissapointed, however, in the fries here. A bit soggy, no salt, kind of tasteless. Not what I expected. All in all good although service is spotty depending on whether you get an old timer or not.

This restaurant is fantastic. I don't think any restaurant can beat their sandwiches. The food is always fresh, warm, and tasty. The service can be a little rusty, but overall, it's pretty good. It's really fun to go with your family and it's always a treat.

Everything I've eaten from here is amazing, the pastrami's flavorful, the fries are amazing, and the portions are very generous. However, the service, especially the person who takes phone orders and rings you up, is subpar. I called for pick up and was on hold for more than 10 minutes, when she came back she complained that she couldn't hear me, told me to wait even longer while she finished something else, and rudely made me repeat my order 3 times. When I got there to pick it up, she yelled at me that my order wasn't ready yet, so I went to sit down to wait, and then as soon as I sat down, she yelled my total to me. THEN when I got home the order was wrong. Although the incorrect sandwich was pretty tasty, so that worked out better than it could have.

I love Artie's Deli, the food is delicious and more than ample. However, if you attempt to order for delivery, you will be on hold for at least 10 minutes, and then you're told it could take up to an hour for delivery. If you think you've been forgotten while placed on hold and call back, you're scolded and told your call goes..."to the back of the line." Lastly, the atmosphere can often not be worth it. If you want to hear your dinner conversation, forget it. It's like trying to dine in a romper room. The strollers seem to breed in there. I often walk by and then decide (based on the number of strollers as indicative of the likely noise level), whether or not the great dinner is worth it.
