Very Pleasantly Surprised
I had a craving for old fashioned brisket and chicken soup. Almost didn't order because of the negative reviews. But this is the only option that delivers this combo in my neighborhood. Delivery was timely. 45 minutes (was promised 1 hour). Food needed a couple of minutes of reheating but was tasty. Soup tasty, matzo balls good texture, fluffy style. Brisket, a little dry but once immersed in the delicious gravy (packed in separate container) perfect and enough for two generous meals. Accompanied by perfect potato pancakes and good kasha. good value given the quality and quantity.

Delivery Not Recommended
Artie's is really just a mediocre deli that has gone downhill over the last 10 years - Delivery took over an hour and a half and I am 4 blocks away. Won't ever order from this place again.

Just gets worse!
The prices have gone sky high. They used to have a lunch special. But now even that is gone. Last time I went, the waiter took so long to come, the menu was so discouraging, I left without ordering.

No More!
We loved this restaurant for it's first years, but everything has gone downhill. We stopped eating in because the service and the servers were poor, and we stopped delivery because they kept making too many mistakes. We woke up this morning yearning for whitefish, thought we'd try a delivery, just one more time; guess what? "we don't have whitefish today". Come on, really? Folks, let's forget these corporate-owned establishments and pay our money to the restaurants owned by individuals, people who make good food, provide good service, and who care. Artie's take a hike...out of our neighborhood.

Way past the Heyday
I live in a nearby apartment building. When it first opened Artie's was the best restaurant in the neighborhood. Now, many chefs and owners later, food has gotten worse, and prices have gotten higher (a bad combo). Still not terrible, but you can do better for lunch.

I had the most disappointing tuna melt of my life in this place. It looked like someone had thrown up on a burnt piece of toast and put some american cheese over it and microwaved french fries. I complained to the waitress who agreed that it was a mess and she apologized. She offered to bring me another one which was equally as unappetizing. At this point, I decided to leave. I realized that I was wasting time and money in there. I will never set a foot in there again.

Really???
I just ate at Arties today for the 2nd time since it opened. The food is disappointing and the staff is equally bad. The matzo ball soup was a salty mess. Between staff rolling their eyes at crying babies (isn't that their target audience?) and Costco looking desserts in the display case as one walks in, makes this place about at appealing as school in summer.
