This place has a great business model -- keep a long line, and people will assume its good (or say that it is so they don't look stupid!). The pizza here is without a doubt excellent, the slices are large and hearty enough to be considered a full meal, and they now serve beer, which is a major plus. However, there is no reason to wait in line at this joint for an hour. Its just a slice of pizza, and in new york city, pizza capital of the world, you can find a slice just as good, and even better, at other restaurants. might not be as cheap, but they're out there. I rarely pass an opportunity to grab a slice when there isn't a line, but if i have to wait, its just not worth it.

Their pizza just rocks, especially their Crab and Artichoke Spinach one. You will never taste anything delicious like this :)

I live in the neighborhood and have many times passed by the line of people waiting outside. One lineless day I gave it a try and ordered the artichoke pizza. Ugh! A sort of tasteless bechamel (ok, with a hint of stinky cheese) with tasteless artichoke over a thick gloppy crust. And for $5.50.

Never before have I had a crab slice before this place. It is my favorite pizza slice in the world. I live right across the street, so I have to stop myself from eating it all day everyday. I love the artichoke slice too, its very big and rich, one slice will fill you up. Expect a long line..because there is no space inside the store..i tend to only go in when there is no line. (takes them a while to heat up the slices for some reason)

This is by far the best pizza margherita in Manhattan. The crust is crispy and flavorful but not thin. A slice actually fills you up. It is definitely worth waiting on line for even in the middle of winter.

The artichoke slice is fantastic but you really cant call it the "best pizza slice." More Greek in origin. If someone tells you its the best slice they should preface that its not your typical cheese slice. The regular slice is just ok not great. The sicilian or "grandma" slice is amazing. Incredible crust. The previous reviewer is correct. The line is long not because of the slices but because of the horrible cramped set up of the place. Also, they take forever to crank out slices for some reason.

I just tried the artichoke slice and the margarita! The crust is crispy and the artichoke slice is very rich, not for everyone. The margarita slice is fantastic...The slices are a nice size. Call ahead for a pie and you can skip the line to pick it up!
