Once again, disappointing.
Tried this place a year ago and was very unimpressed but decided to go back just to see if anything had changed. Artichoke slice is a disgusting mess of thick, gloopy-ness that I found very unpleasant. The plain and Grandma slices were both extremely stinky and I was totally overwhelmed by the Parmesan cheese. The mozzarella slid right off. The sauce was dripping. The bottom of the crust was totally burnt and had little pieces of blackened oven bits on it. Overall, I could not have been more disappointed. Did I mention a slice is now over $4?

Pizza Rockefeller anyone?
Tasteless thick dough, with a can of campbell soup as topping... Go if you like to eat oyster Rockefeller without the oyster!

Pizza Heaven
I've been here about 6 times now and ordered full pies to go three times. I absolutely love it. The Sicilian is the way to go. It's the best I've had in the city. I've been to many of the "top shelf" places i.e. DiFara's et. al. and the Sicilian is tremendous. However, if you don't like your crust burnt (I love it that way) you might not like it. The Artichoke slice is very good, but don't leave this place w/ out getting a Sicilian. And, the service is totally New York. Take that or leave it.

No longer worth the wait
I live and work just a few blocks away and have been going here since they opened. Went for the first time in approx 3 months this past Friday at approx 9pm. A warm clear night meant lots of people on line. The pizza is good but simply not worth the wait. I waited about 10 minutes to pay for my 3 slices and then waited at least another 20 minutes inside the extremely cramped quarters to finally get them. What I noticed which I found very unusual was this: I ordered 3 plain slices, there were 7 slices available on the counter. People were waiting for the Artichoke and Squares. What they do is this: They didnt serve the people who ordered the regular slices until the people who ordered before them were served, even if their pizza is still being cooked. In other words you have to wait for the people who were in line before you to get served no matter what. Even if what YOU ordered is staring right in your face. They simply dont care about any type of service. Its like they know people will wait on line for as long as it takes so they talk among themselves taking their time. Yea the pizza is good and all but in the end I probably will never wait on such a long line again. I really wanted to leave after seeing that these regular slices were just sitting there and they werent being served.

Not that good
It's really not that good. I don't see what the buzz is about.

Quality has gone down
I hope they go back to how they use to make their pies. They raised their prices and seem to skimp on ingredients now.

only ok
Honestly I don't get the popularity of this place. I had a slice of the artichoke pizza - it was reasonably good and it was certainly big - but I feel like there's lots of other better pizza places in the neighborhood, let alone the city.
