    Pizza is good. Everything else a nightmare

    The Artichoke slice is a once in a while indulgence, very tasty. Very tasty and very rich. The regular and Sicilian slices are also really good. This is all crispy crusts. If yu don't like that type of crust you shouldn't go. The crab I don't like. The soda and beer are warm. You have to literally eat in the street. The staff is really rude and the wait is typically long. If you want to take it home to eat that's fine or call ahead for a pie and get out of their as quick as possible. Go for the Pizza, take it home and that's it. The one owner who always wears the old style hat is a real nasty guy. The other owner is very nice.

    crust is crispy because it's essentially 'fried'

    The only good thing about this place was meeting people during the 2 hour wait. But the pizza totally made me lose any faith I had in New York palates. I had the artichoke and it was the poorest pizza i've ever had....loaded with low quality cheese. And watch them make it: the reason the crust is crispy is because it's essentially fried. they pour a load of oil onto the pan and then bake it is a super hot oven. if you like this pizza, you should be lining up for deep fried cheese curds at the Minnesota State Fair.

    45 minutes for 2 slices

    I tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago. The line was long as usual but shorter than I've seen it, so I gave Artichoke a go. I waited 45 minutes to get to the front of the line, but hey, it's gotta be worth it right? That's why everyone else is here. Brought it home (4 blocks away) and my mom (who loves pizza too) were ready to dig right in. Where was the artichoke? All I tasted was condensed cream of something or other out of a can. DISAPPOINTING! I had really high hopes for it too. Dough is good, but dough is not all a pizza makes. Service if you're not a pretty girl (ie showing the goods) is lousy. (As a 24 yr old girl who doesn't flaunt *stuff*, it's noticeable.) Did I mention that it 4.50 a slice for dough and cream?

    Phenomenal non-traditional Pizza!

    Artichoke makes pizza that you either love or hate. All their pies are bold and humongous, so if you're not on board with either of these characteristics then you probably hate this place. Likewise if you're a pizza traditionalist then you probably hate this place as well. I've only ever ordered the Artichoke slice and the Sicilian slice, and I love both (I always get one of each and am stuffed afterwards). The first time I looked at the Sicilian I was disappointed b/c the crust was black and looked like it had been burned to a crisp. Once I ate it though I fell in love. Even though Sicilian pizza shouldn't be very crispy, I can't get enough of it. As for the Artichoke...I feel like people say things like "messy," "goopy," and "sloppy" as if they are bad things when in fact they are amazing when pertaining to this pizza. I pretty much can't get enough of it. Plus the pies are always fresh since there is such a demand. If you haven't tried it I strongly recommend it!

    Margerita? Wonderful. Crab? Fantastic. Sicilian? Amazing. Artichoke and Spinach? To DIE for! Budweiser 32 oz. Big Gulp? Well, I believe this speaks for itself. You can't go wrong with what you order, and the staff makes the wait on a busy Friday night. Just say yes!
