    $4 of lameness

There is a magical thing that happens to pizza that is made properly. It tastes perfect.Unfortunately, this joint doesn't understand that. When the sauce and the cheese are balanced correctly and cooked for the right time are the right temperature, they become something else. Not cheese and not sauce. They become mixed and make something special. I avoided this place like the plague for a long time because of the lines. There are plenty of decent pizza places near there. $4 for an undercooked not particularly large and not that tasty pizza is criminal.

    Delicious!

Fair prices for the portions. I split an entree with my friend and it was perfect. Try their pasta with vodka sauce!!

good for Sicilian, n0t much else

I love their Sicilian slices.. the regular slice is so so, and the artichoke slice is covered with white mush (And I LOVE arthichokes). The lines are long, and the service is horrible. The smug dudes behind the counter couldn't care less about pleasing their customers. Were it not for the Sicilian pizza, this place wouldn't crack top 20 in NYC. Go elsewhere for a regular slice (Joe's, Mariella, La Pizzeria, Pizza 33, Maffei). Go here for Sicilian.

    good pizza

This is a review based on the actual artichoke pizza. Its good pizza. I've never had an artichoke pizza before so i can't compare to others but this is GOOD pizza. It would've been nice if the guy warmed up my slice a bit but it was warm and it was yummy. Margarhita slice was delicious too. Its just a regular pizza joint. Don't expect any fancy or more than exceptional service. Its just pizza guys. Order it and get out. I went at lunch time and it wasn't too packed. Line moved fast like a regular old pizza joint. There's only one guy taking the order at a time, its a very small space so chill out.

You're a hater if you insult the pizza.

The best pizza in NY is still DiFara's in BK, but Artichoke is easily one of the best NY slices and if you say otherwise you're insane. Is the service bad? Hell yeah it is, but thats no reason to insult the actual pizza. You should definitely try it once because once you do you'll realize that you will be willing to put up with a little bad service for another slice. As far as price goes sadly 4 bucks for a slice these days isn't that bad and it is totally worth it.

    Overhyped

I was so excited to try the pizza here after all the hype that has been lavished on this place. I tried the artichoke, crab and regular and all I can say was that they were all unappetizing. The crust tasted like cardboard and the toppings were passable at best. I have had far better slices at my neighborhood joint. The bottom line is don't waste your time or money.

    Amazing Pizza

This pizza is amazing. I had the artichoke slice which is, although huge, so rich and delicious.
