I always forget what surly, spotty service this place has. The modern business challenge: find human beings who are pleasant, hard-working, efficient, able to communicate with patrons, and attentive. It's clearly hard to find based on the service at this place. Food and atmosphere the only saving graces. Think I'll stick to take-out.

The food is really good (especially the box salad) and the atmosphere is fun and feel authentic. Plus you get a good meal for a pretty good price. But the service is abysmal -- the staff is dismissive, arrogant, inattentive, barely friendly. Stop bs'ing with each other, get off your phones and do your jobs people. You are there to SERVE the paying customers. So if you like to have an income, then be professional. As an organization, pay attention to the clients or you'll be just a tourist trap with no local character. I'm sure you can find -- AND TRAIN -- better wait staff.

I love this place! The artichoke pizza is worth coming back for over and over. The salad in a box (yes--salad in a box!) is full of cheese and salady goodness. The restaurant is right under the Highline which makes it great for visitors but locals will be more than happy with the amazing service and superior food. Great bar too!

I ordered (2) pies of pizza at 6:59pm, and they stated it would take an hour to get it delivered which I was willing to wait. At 8:30pm I called to check the status, the person stated that they were just about to make the pizza's and that it would take another hour. I have lived in Chelsea for many years and this is hands down the most frustrating place to order from. The person who originally took our order was extremely rude; he stated and I quote "We're busy hurry up"...really?

The pizza is good. If you get it delivered it will be cold.

I went to Artichoke's a couple of weeks ago to grab a slice. The pizza is far from authentic and extremely greasy. The Artichoke slice was drenched in alfredo sauce and lacked any real flavor. The service was also pretty poor. It took the guy behind the counter way too long to recognize that I was waiting and then finally take my order. I will not be coming back anytime soon.

While the service wasn't stellar, the pizza was fantastic. I've been to the slice shop next door a couple times, and to the 14th St. location, and have never been disappointed with the taste.
