One of my new favorites
My husband and I decided to try Arthur not long after it opened, and we've been addicted ever since. The food is delicious (the chicken liver mousse is one of my favorite things ever!) and the atmosphere is great for a date night. (It helps that the service is really friendly, too.) We've been a bunch of times now, and have loved everything we tried!

Great addition to Smith Street
Great overall! Nice addition to Smith Street. Loved the Octopus and The Tuna Special.

Great spot
I actually stumbled upon this place on their opening night (2 hour wait at battersby) and tried it. I have been back twice since and everything that I've tried has been great. Then again any place that gives you fresh baked bread and homemade pickles when you sit down would get a good review from me.

Incredible All Around!
I recently helped throw a dinner party for ten people at Arthur on Smith and was thrilled with every aspect of the restaurant. The manager, along with the chef and wait staff, were all overly accommodating and went out of their way to make sure things were perfect. The food is outstanding: very fresh, full of amazing flavors, creative, and affordable. Both times I ate there I left wanting more. My personal favorites are the Pollack with fennel, carrot heirloom salad, pane cotta, delicious bread, and amazing wine selections! I could literally eat there every day! I am so happy that this family restaurant has opened its door in Brooklyn and I will be raving about it (and visiting often) in the future.

Great place, great vibe
We stopped by today for brunch by chance, for the first time. It was great! Brunch cocktails come free with the meals, and the white sangria was very good. They give an assortment of breads and condiments which were tasty and homey. My pork ragout also tasted great, but there was too much fat for my taste and I also felt that my eggs were undercooked. They had some great looking sides and esserts too. The service was polite and friendly, and the vibe and decor are great. And I'm not sure if it's because it was a Saturday, but the place was near empty! Regardless, we will be going back again ASAP.

Great people, Great Food, Great Drinks
Had a great time here the other night with a girlfriend. We wandered in while looking for a place to chat and have a quick drink, but amiable bartender and amazing menu convinced us to stay for what turned out to be most of the night. Food was, without hyperbole, AMAZING. We had mussels, gnocchi, pappardelle, and octopus. All perfect. Drinks were great as well, I described what I was interested in and he maxed something that he didn't have a name for that had Fernet, Gin and Sweet vermouth and it was surprisingly light and interesting. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat, I have other friends in the neighborhood that have been there as well and all have loved it, the negative reviews baffle me. Go for the cute bartender, stay for the amazing food and ambiance.

What a let down.
I will start by saying our waitress was great. The hostess and manager seem to have very little experience. We were told 10 minutes and then waited 45 min for a seat - no apology or status update. Appetizers were decent, but it seems no one who works here has eaten all the food or drank all the wine. That is a problem. The kitchen had a bunch of misfires - pasta underdone, overlooked shrimp, etc. Worst offense of the evening: cheese all over my SEA URCHIN pasta...that betrays real weakness. We gave notes which were met with disinterest and lack of concern. Real talk they don't care about their patrons.
