Food was good and the restaurant looks very nice. However, that was ruined by the poor service. We went on Sunday around 2p for the All You Can Drink brunch. The bar staff was very nice. The table staff service was poor. It took about 15 minutes to get a waitress. We had to flag one down. The girl was rude and acted like she didn't want our table. Never came back to check on how our food was, or to ask if we wanted more drinks. Had to flag her down to get water. Had to go over to the bar to flag waitress down to get our check. She brought our check to the table, which was wrong as they added another tables drinks to our bill. Poor service. There are many other and better brunch options.

Very impressed w quality and presentation, great neighborhood restaurant. Will be back.

I read many reviews on this resturant and all negative, but I was use to going here for the past few years and could not understand the negative reviews! Well the other night after 6 months of not being there my boyfriend and I went there.. Firt we had to wait for our table for 20 minutes and the resturant was half empty .. Well ok we decided to get a drink at the bar while waiting.. another mistake the bartender was super rude and mean to us, was talking on her cell and ignored us for 5 mintues. Finally we got them, drinks omg not good... After we finally sat down after another 15 mintues they took our order well lets just say by our salad waiting another 30 min for it we just got up left money and a tip for our drinks and salad and walked out.. My advice is get some new management or it wont last till the end of the year.

After not having been to this neighborhood stalwart, I went on menupages and saw entry after entry about the service. We went anyway, and guess what? Poor service! Only got entrees an hour after ordering because I threw a fit (there were only like 10 tables filled tonight). Our waitress changed halfway through, and the guy who replaced her and the manager were very nice and apologetic, but still. Have to think it's a systemic problem due to the many complaints.

What a splendid surprise. Tucked in on a tree-lined block, outdoors, caamari fritti, linguine w clams and carpaccio. Im in heaven or Italy! Great

I've always loved this restaurant so perhaps it's a fluke, but my last visit was miserable. The service has always been a bit spotty, but what I experienced the other night was inexcusable. 50 minutes for my starting salad, followed by a waitor who seemed irritated my table was asking after our food. Instead of stopping by the table with an update or an apology, he waved his hand at us, blowing us off completely. We left cash for the salad and abandoned the meal. An hour is an awfully long time to wait without any apologies or acknowledgement from the staff. Slow service is one thing, but rudeness is quite another. Too many fantastic Italian restaurants in the area to put up with that. Sadly, I think this last visit was indeed the last.

I have been to Arte Cafe 3 times for brunch. First, a year ago, great experience (great service, yummy food), Second, 2 weeks ago, omelette tasted soapy and service was slow, Third: unbelievably disappointing: I have never written a negative review before, but felt I had to pass on this story. A waiter accidentally spilled scalding hot tea water down my guest's back. Unfortunate, but accidental. Perhaps not the most skilled waiter I'v ever seen, but he was very apologetic and reacted quickly with ice and napkins. The manager's reaction, however, was abhorrent: No sincere apology, brushed us off, acted like it was no big deal ), did not offer to call for medical help, and did not even comp her meal or drink: infuriating The food was also very mediocre. I will NEVER be back. The place is clearly going downhill. There are plenty of other delightful restaurants in the area, I suggest you chose one of them instead.
