Service
Walked in for take out for my birthday to a bustling trendy little spot. I was phyched to end my night with a great meal. Placed our order and waited...and waited... Watched a three tables sit, order, and get served... and still we waited. Asking the coat check girl(because apparently they handle orders now too) if she could check on the status of our order she replied "The kitchen guys didn't tell me anything". What?! What does that even mean?! When my wife asked the host in plaid, he sighed and walked away. Even after explaining the fact that we watched two tables come in, sit, order, and receive their entrees and still we were waiting he said "We're kinda busy..." 1 hour and 5min later the food comes out. Now, I work in the service industry so I know that when you're in the weeds things can get a little dicey, but you cannot prioritize service like that. My order costs just as much as the 4 top sitting at the window(without the comfy seat and view) so any respectable establishment should treat it just as well. I have never written off a restaurant and said I will never support them again until now. I actually feel bad because the food was all right, but a dining experience is more than that. Service is important and if it can dissuade even someone like me from coming back... It's really not good.

Fun Night Out
Wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in after reading other reviews here but was pleasantly surprised! Dark and Loud, crowded with good looking people. The food is a little of the sloppy side but I mean that in a good way. Sit at the bar and watch the best show in Hells Kitchen. The hunky bartender with the wolverine sideburns served us the BEST frozen margaritas. Just thinking about them makes me want to rush back over there!

Great time
We didn't know what to expect, but we went down this street as we have enjoyed every restaurant we have been to on it. This place did not disappoint. Cramped and a bit dark, it was OK because with the clubby, quirky, casual atmosphere, it seemed to work just fine. We enjoyed the "DJ" and the food. The portions were huge-we could have shared. Our service was good as well.

Loved it!
Food was excellent. Table seating was a bit tight. Tables were a little too close together. The only downside was the noise. It was very loud. The food was delicious, hot and all ingredients were fresh. It gets crowded fast for dinner so go early. I don't think you could go wrong with whatever you pick! Enjoy!

Don't do it!
After waiting 45 min. for delivery we received cold greasy food. Large nacho plate had 6 cold, wet chips with 5 pieces of tomato, 3 jalapeno pepper pieces and cold cheese. Employee on the phone was nasty when we called about the cold food and nacho order. His answer was "thats how it comes" and "I'm too busy to get you a manager". Unappetizing food, poor service, save your stomach and your wallet and eat at one of the good mexican spots in the neighborhood

It was like a restaurant/club
Heard about this place from sister--food was good and although it was loud, it was fun! Overpriced. Host told us they don't take reservations because they are always busy, which left a bad taste in my mouth. All of us were locals so, I'd give it a C+ overall.

Half and Half
Looking from the outside, one would be sceptic. Coming inside you'll find a crowded, loud, and lively place. The music is loud and the voices yelling over it adds to the volume. Some could find this a bother, others would find it a joy. Its your call. I have eaten here several times and the food is very good, though by no means the best mexican in NYC. I suggest the burrito or the beef chili stew thing. The only thing I have eaten here that is by no means good is the guacamole. It is just as plain as can be. The margaritas are a complete trap. Do not go there here. Though large, they are overpriced and premixed with what I strongly believe to be artficial mix. They do have a good selection of sipping tequilas, so I suggest if you want a drink go for one of those instead.
