    Don't bother

I was so excited when this place opened up downstairs from my office but have been disappointed each time I've visited. The Ice Aroma Lite and Ice Chocolate are the equivalent of slurpees (they even come from slurpee-like machines). The hot chocolate is made from steamed milk and frozen pieces of the chocolate they give out with each order, which sounds yummy, but the chocolate tastes cheap and processed. I love the idea of a bonus piece of chocolate, though, especially with such expensive prices. (Seriously, $5.90 for a yogurt parfait?) The service is kind of spacey, too. My friend and I each ordered hot chocolate with whipped cream but were told after our drinks were prepared and palced on the counter that, "our, um, whipped cream machine is broken." Then five minutes after sitting down someone came to us asking if we were finished since they wanted to take our trays away. We still had drinks in our mugs and the store wasn't even crowded. The only good thing I can say is the food looks tastey, however, the fresh baked pastries are not so fresh baked. I watched a worker cut celophane from a box that looked like it was frozen and place muffins on a tray. Unless the 40-or-so Starbucks in a 2 block radius from my office burn down over night, I can promise I will not be back to Aroma.

    yay!

i can't believe no one has commented yet as this place wows me almost everytime i go there. i mostly go for their sandwiches which are so fresh! they are made-to-order and have some unique sandwiches too. i love their sandwiches with their unique pickles (nothing like ordinary pickles). i would have never thought that an omelette sandwich with pickles would taste so good!
