I ordered takeout from Ariana based on the Menupages review. I got the chicken kebab lunch special for $9. I was quite disappointed. Firstly, when I arrived (at 1pm on a workday), the restaurant was completely empty (and it smelled musty like old carpet). When I got back to my office, I opened the container to see 5 sad little chicken pieces on rice. The rice had a dish soap taste, and the "marinated" chicken had no taste at all! I will say that the chicken was tender, and the lettuce in the salad was crisp and fresh. Maybe it was just an off day, but I won't return.

Excellent find - solid food, good presentation, flavors, attentive service. The place is tiny. I will definitely visit again soon.

This place is a true hell's kitchen gem. It's a small hole-in-the-wall type restaurant which offers amazing food. My favorite is the sultani kabob dish. The service is great and they are willing to substitute items in dishes... if you don't want salad with your meal tell them and they will give you more rice instead. I have eaten at the restaurant twice and have had food delivered... 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Need I stay more?

This is my favorite food in the city. Everything is delicious and beautifully seasoned. The service and food are amazing.

My wife and I have been here several times and the most recent was with my in-laws from out of town. Raffi, is absolutely the best. If he ever has a bad day, you would never know it. How nice and refreshing to have such personable and attentive service in NYC (including dancing and push-ups, yes push-ups). We want to come here just to see him...thank goodness his food is just as good. I love the Kabuli Palow with lamb here. Don't like lamb? Still order this dish. Believe me on this. My father in-law had the Sabzi Chalow and it was absolutely yummy. For an appetizer get the Kadoo Bolanne--so, so good. Finished off the meal having black tea with cardamon (excellent and soothing, no sweetner needed) with both Firnee and Beghalawa for dessert. We are looking forward to many more visits, I just hope Raffi has a table for us!
