Ariana

after googling afghan restaurants i picked this one for our book group. (I heard terrible delivery reports on the other one so I thought I would give this a try.) Guy on the phone was more than pleasant. Placed order and received order in less than 30 minutes (was very surprised because it was a big order.) They labeled the food for me so I would know what was what. Everyone commented more than once that the food was great. I have to say that all the vegetable side dishes were more than awesome. Everyone went crazy for everything pumpkin pumpkin apps, pumpkin side. Have zero complaints for delivery. Would absolutely order again, as will my friends.

Get seated waiter does not bring over lunch menu. Finally brings us a lunch menu when asked. A bit humid in there makes me wonder how the chef's doing in the back with the lack of air conditioning. Ask the waiter to split the bill so we can each pay seperately and he says its impossible. 3/4 of us only had credit cards. Said he doesn't take credit cards only cash! $20 min per person to accept credit card. Funny how it never mentions it anywhere. How frustrating. Then he says put entire tab on one cc ok and walks away. Ultimately we paid with one cc but were upset at the attitude of the waiter. Water that he put out didn't even have ice which made me reluctant to even try it. Then the waiter went on to say how ones mouth can be the gateway to hell. what he was attempting to convey i do not know nor do I wish to know. I would never recommend them to anyone or ever step foot through their door again. No wonder they had us and 4 other people in the entire place during the prime lunch hour time 12-1. Save your self the aggrevation.

I heard absolutely wonderful things about this food, but was very disappointed. I thought the food was basically bland, and expensive. However, the proprietor was very friendly and nice to talk to. But for the food, I wouldn't go back.

I love the feeling of this place. Its very cozy and covered in beautiful rugs and tapestries. The music was good and the food is remarkable. The firnee for dessert was among the best puddings i've ever had. Definitely coming back.

I never really experienced my mouth/stomach being blown away from the first bite until I tried Ariana. The mid-town west restaurant carries a variety of middle-eastern dishes, all of which can stand on their own as incredible. The owner is a splendid delight of entertainment and comfort in this small authentic cove. If you have not stepped it up and dived into the aquatic heaven of Ariana, then please do so immediately, Simply the best food around.

Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The owner is friendly and accommodating, the food is excellent, and the "best bet tea" is incredible. Check out their shish kabob plates, and try some pumpkin curry and okra dishes. I haven't had one thing on the menu I didn't love. You won't be disappointed!

just three words you need ! i love ariana!!! i am sure everyone would be happy after a visit at ariana restaurant! the meal is delicious and the service is also great and i like the ambience!!
