Arctica is a good spot if you like dining in a space that is the width of a subway car. Should you get stuck at one of the tables in the front of the restaurant, you have no chance of enjoying a tranquil meal without the bar patrons walking amidst the area. We ordered the popcorn chicken; there was not one piece of meat which was bigger than a pebble. A salad was lackluster. The incident that drove me nuts was our ordering a piece of cake for my friend's bday. It seriously took multiple reminders for them to bring it out. Lastly, the bartenders are suspect.

I live next door, and thought it was time I try this place out... the brunch was pretty good; I had the eggs benedict with salmon, and my friend really liked her scrambled eggs & cheese. But I grabbed some takeout this evening -- chicken quesadilla -- and it was the most foul thing I'd ever seen. The tortilla looked like it was dipped in a deep frier, and the cheese was gooey and greasy. The chicken had pieces of fat all over it. I could barely take a bite, and then threw the whole thing out. Besides that, it's a cozy bar and seems to have a good, casual vibe.

Stopped in for brunch on a whim and found that the food was excellent, wait staff was very attentive and friendly and their prices were extremely reasonable (brunch was about $10 and included a drink). Atmosphere is clean and they have a small back deck overlooking a garden area. Overall, very impressed and we will be back!

Saw this on menu pages searching for a quick bite close to Kips Bay movies. It's a nice looking clean bar. The bartenders are super friendly and the food was great. Had some potato skins and wings and other bar nibbles. All tasted fresh and delicious. The menu had many different choices too. We'll definitely be back to try them soon!

I have frequented this establishment quite a few times since I discovered it in early february, I like the theme & consider it one of the best deals for lunch & brunch in the GRAM///MURR ER CY area. $7.50 lunch combo that includes soup, petite sandwich or panini with fries or salad. Their Brunch on the weekends includes a complimentary bloody mary, mimosa or beer with any brunch entree, the price is not bumped up to cover the beverage as is so often the case. Great value.

I too stumbled upon this place as it is near the office. Always looking for a place for after work this is a nice balance of young but not too young. Thursday's get a bit lively but if you get to the back you can eat in peace. TV's provide a nice compromise for those of us in need of Yankees baseball & those wanting tasty food. The bartenders are friendly & the wait staff very accommodating. There was a mix up with 1 of the 4 meals order, forgotten cheese; fixed immediately & a free round to apologies. I only gave the food a 3.5 because I've only eaten here 2 of the 3 visits. Everything has been very good & I will be back to try the rest of the menu. Solid happy hour deals for the neighbourhood; must try the White Cosmos! Note to the ladies, do not use upstairs bathroom, make the trip down stairs to the super clean, larger bathrooms.

Food is pretty decent, but the place itself is redic. Great atmosphere, very chill, and very very munz. late.
