    disappointing

What a disappointment! First, the menu is so boring. You can make practically anything on it at home. I found the quality and taste of dishes to be uninspired and the restaurant itself to be tired and overpriced. (Swedish meatballs $20?) Go to Ikea for similar food, at $5 a plate.

    Definite no

We went for dinner with couple of our friends. First of all, we were informed that chef requests that everyone in our party selects from the same type of prefixed menu. Which is inconvenient with a party of more than two people. Second, the food is average, not good, not bad, except for Foie Gras, which is the worst I've ever had both taste and look wise. Don't get me wrong, the food arranged on the plate beautifully but Foie Gras Ganache has a very unpleasant color and leaks out when you pierce it with the fork. The waiters, however, are absolutely impeccable. Lastly, I've visited the ladies room before heading out. The tidiness of it was slightly above of the public bathroom on the public beach.

Great food, nice atmosphere, very good service. I have been there many times and never got disappointed.

    Professional Restaurant

My husband and I went to aquavit yesterday and ate in the cafe. We ordered two orders of a double serving of an appetizer of "varied herring plate". We were asked by the staff if everything was good when the table was cleared. We said all of the various herrings were very tasty and fresh except one. It was fresh but not firm (alittle mushy). They appologized and when the check came, they only charged us for two orders of a single serving of a herring plate. We feel that it makes the restaurant "a cut above".

    Perfection.

Exquisite Anniversary dinner! Best venison I ever had. Impeccable staff. Mmm, aquavit, too!

    Average lunch

My lunch was not exciting, herring was too salty, salmon I ordered did not taste fresh, moreover looked and tasted as prepared by inexperienced cook. They probably do not waste resources on weekday lunches... Overall - average lunch place.

    Great food, Superb service

Yes it is expensive, but with so many boutique restaurants charging you hundreds of dollars for canine quality food, this place focuses upon Quality and Service. The host from Nepal was super nice from beginning to end. The herring sampler, flights of aquavit and unique fish preparations are all to be lauded.
