    Really nice place

i had one of this Groupon deals so i went w my friend for dinner...First of all they treated us a little bit "different" just because we had a deal, but anyway the place is really nice, the food is interesting and really tasty so i recommend this place. the service was ok but could be better, more attentive and more friendly...

    Great place

I just had dinner with two friends and thought it was great! The service was excellent and the food tasty. The staff was quite attentive and good value for the $; and many choices. Will definitely go again.

Gone Downhill: Beware of two different menu prices (and poor management)

Aquamarine used to be a top pick for me for delivery/pick up but my last couple experiences will have me heading elsewhere. I recently ordered a few rolls and a seaweed salad over the phone and asked for a slice of lemon on the side (which I have done many times before). When I picked it up I checked the bill and the seaweed salad was now $7. I inquired as on my menu at home AND on the menu sitting in front of me in the restaurant, it was $5.50. I also noticed they charged me 50 cents for a slice of lemon (annoying but whatever) Both of these were new to me as I hate nickel and dime-ing, but the fact that the menu said one thing but I got charged another, was worth addressing. don't get me wrong, I don't care about $2 that much but in principle I had to address it. When I did the hostess told me there was now a "new takeout menu" where prices had gone up. I thought it was weird when the menu in the dining room was still the same as the one I had at home and listed the old prices as well. Why charge people one thing to sit in and more to take out? Or not change your menus at the same time so there is no confusion?? I asked if I could talk to a manager and she went in the back to get her. She came back and said "no the manager says she is busy and won't come up" . Who does that either??? It wasn't "can you hold on a few minutes" or 'how about this time I adjust it since you it does say two different things", but instead it was just basically "sorry, you're outta luck'! A total lack of concern for your customers is unacceptable as far as I am concerned. When I got home I also realized the $7 seaweed salad was the equivalent of what I could pick op in the supermarket (a small serving in a plastic container). I was also disappointed that the last couple times (always willing to give someone a pass for an off day) the sushi was more rice than fish. Perhaps I was turned off from the start, but I feel like they have gone downhill. I won't be going back.

Best staff and sushi in NY

I ate at aquamarine for the first time yesterday, if you have not tried it go now! Sit at the bar and eat and drink with the great bartenders and friendly staff. The sushi was amazing the drinks were strong and they threw in a few shots at the end to top a great time off!

    Lunch Delivery

I had a pregnancy related craving, and ordered the yellowtail ceviche and chicken fried rice for lunch. It was fantastic. The ceviche had bright crisp veggies, and the yellowtail was fresh. I would order this again and again. The fried rice was very good, with simple ingredients of scallion, egg, and jalapenos.

    So So Good

I entertain 3-4 times per week and this has become one of my favortie spots for client lunches. The eggplant is amazing along with the Jumbo Shrimp in Red Curry Sauce. Can't wait for next visit.

Not for Thai or SEA food

They offer extensive Thai and South East Asian food list but do not offer real Thai/SEA food. I have yet to find a real Thai place around the neighborhood but would not recommend this one in substitution at all.
