Aquagrill

It truly deserves the name "best seafood" in NYC. The food is excellent..the service perfect. Welcoming, casual not stuffy or pretentious. If you love oysters you must try the Aquagrill. Make reservations! We were seated on time.

Went here for dinner for my girlfriend's b-day based upon recommendations from friends and your website. I've got to say this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We consider ourselves to be foodies, and this place was above and beyond just about all others. We ordered raw oysters which were delicious and the steamers, also delectable. I had the truffle crusted cod and she had the grouper special. Each was amazing in its own right. Then had the flourless chocolate cake for desert. Just terrific. And the service was spot on. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, made us feel extremely comfortable with our questions. Didn't have to wait more than a minute for a refill of water or drinks. Just terrific all around...I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

The food was very good. The salmon was cooked just right. Didn't have any appetizers but had a couple of different deserts which was also great (we were a large group) Atmosphere was good (we were there for lunch), not sure how the dinner atmosphere would be. Service was also very good (nothing exceptional though)

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Aquagrill this past Saturday night. My boyfriend took me there for our Valentine's Day dinner. Upon entering the restaurant we were politely greeted by the host who sat us almost immediately at a great table at the very back of the dining room (we had reservations). Our waitress, Michelle, was incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable about the cuisine, and ready to help us make the right decisions. Her level of service was very professional and we will be sure to request her upon our return. Everything that we ordered was perfect. Neither of us has ever been a big fan of oysters, but since we knew the restaurant was known for them, we asked our waitress to choose two oysters that she recommended. She brought us two XXX oysters from California and it was enough to turn us into oyster lovers. Next, we ordered the best appetizer I have had in a long time; the Jonas Crab/Florida Stone Crab platter was perfect in every way. The two types of crabs are only offered together for a limited time, due to the strange weather we have been experiencing, but in their place, I highly recommend the Jonas Crab app. It couldn't have been better! For our main course we both chose the Bouillabaisse with assorted seafood. This choice was excellent, but upon returning, I would choose another fish dish only because I am sure there are plenty of other marvelous choices on the menu. Finally for desert, we ordered the pomegranate sorbet, a wonderful and light way to end our meal. We are still raving about this dinner and have recommended Aquagrill to everyone we know. Definitely give it a try!

Very few words to describe this place but the food is great, the drinks are great and overall a MUST go if you are a seafood lover!

I went to aquagrill for my birthday, and I was completely delighted with the food and service. Although we were late for our reservation (15 mins), the host was more than gracious to accomodate us with complimentary glasses of champagne because we still had to wait another 20 mins for the next available table. I thought that good service and friendliness were dead in the NY restaurant business, but boy did aquagrill proved me wrong!

We were greeted with a warm welcome and smiles from the entire staff. Everyone was very friendly and polite, except for a very pushy busboy who kept refilling our water glasses when we repeatedly told him not to. They give you three different pieces of bread, all greasy and stale. My dad ordered the Chatham cod, which was super dry. My snapper was ok ,not a lot of seasoning but ok. The mashed potatoes and spinach were perfect. Their homemade ice creams and sorbets are quite delicious, especially their strawberry sorbet. The decor could use some major updating-the walls are a dull yellow that seems to absorb all the grease that's floating around in the air, and the fake plants and tacky pastel colored paintings made me think I was in an 80's sitcom set. We won't have a need to return.
