Aquagrill

I absolutely can not say enough about this restaurant--it is my favorite spot in the city! They serve the freshest food--try the oyster bar, it is yummy! The sea scallops are divine, and the falafel-crusted salmon is delicious! Oh, and try the mussels in the basil sauce, you will not be disappointed!

Went to Aquagrill last night with my girlfriend. Lucked out getting a reservation last minute and am extremely happy I did. The quality of both food and service was phenomenal; the two of us love oysters but, understandably, had difficulty navigating the 20+ oysters on the ice bar. Our waiter was more than happy to help us choose and continued to be an invaluable resource throughout dinner, helping with the rather impressive winelist and pointing out which of the dishes were truly exceptional (when I went they had fresh sea urchin that was knock-you-on-your-@$$ awesome). For entrees we had the cod with mushrooms and garlic turbot; both were beautifully infused with their respective seasonings, but not so much that the taste and texture of the fish was overpowered. For dessert we had the apple tart with cinnamon ice cream, very simply done but a very good end to the meal. A final and welcome touch was the very comprehensive cordial and liquers list; I had a great armagnac for $8.50 and my date a good solid ruby port for a dollar less. All in all, considering the extraordinary quality of the seafood, the incredibly friendly service, and the generally warm and welcoming ambience, this restaurant is a steal. Seriously, if you're thinking about it, go there.

Aquagrill never ceases to amaze me.....As a native New Yorker , I have frequented so many of NY's better establishments, and AQUAGRILL rates up there in my top 2 of seafood restaurants.

This restaurant would be average at best if everything was at half the price. If you like tight, cramp, crowded noisy atmosphere then this is the place for you. I was seated almost on top of the next table. The place was noisy and loud. I would prefer to be relaxed at dinner rather than disturbed. The food was ok. Nothing special and certainly not worth the price tag. For the same money you can go to Le Cirque 2000 and eat the best meal of your life. The waitress made the specials sound like the best thing we'd ever eat. It fell well short of those expectations. I would highly recommend going somewhere else. For the money I would have expected a lot more.

Do not pass go until you eat here! The food was amazing and the staff very attentive and knowledgable. An oyster lover's paradise! It's pricy, but worth every penny. Try the tuna tartare appetizer..amazing! Make sure you have reservations, the place was still packed at 12am.

Great staff and atmosphere - every time I go I am treated like the most important customer there! The food is unsurpassed. The service is exqusite and the value is wonderful - I always get what I pay for and then some. Dessert is incredible and this would be a great place to go for a late night treat.
