    Fantastic and Unbelievable....

I took my sister here for her birthday on a busy Saturday night and we were lucky enough to get seated right away. The food is excellent, the Mass Oysters were THE BEST!! For an appetizer she had the crab cakes and I had the warm octopus salad and they were both cooked to perfection! Then were given complimentary Salmon Tartare on a crunchy potato chip that was out of this world. For dinner we shared the Seafood Plateau and boy was it worth it, we ended up taking the rest home because we couldn't finish it. This monstrous tower is filled with the best and freshest tasting seafood you will ever have in NYC! Large Shrimp, Lobster, 3 diff types of oysters, 3 diff types of clams, Mussels and the periwinkles were delicious as well! After dinner she had the coconut panna cotta with tropical fruit and I had the pre-ordered choc souffle and even though my souffle was absolutely divine and perfectly cooked the praises of the evening were given to the coconut panna cotta! In the end the price was reasonable only $160 total including a few glasses their great wine. If you love seafood you HAVE to go to the Aquagrill, I will definitely return SOON!

    Oyster Art

My brother and I were cruising by and I felt like a couple of oysters. I'm from Rhode Island so I got a Westerly and Moonstone- they were served like a piece of art. Fresh. Perfect in every way. We weren't dressed for this swanky place, but they treated us like royalty. Price of the oysters was right. Would be the right spot to impress a sea food lover.

    A Perfect Choice

As I was planning our trip to NYC, I found this website and was so glad I did, as it made everything so much simplier to organize. Looking for a restaurant in this area (Spring) I read the wonderful reviews of this place. As my husband and I are always ready to eat oysters, this place attracted me right away. And indeed, the oysters at the bar were the freshest and tastiest - and more than 20 varieties to choose from. Would highly recommend. Great staff too!

    Wonderful

Not my first time here, but it has been a while since my last visit. The service here is outstanding, you are made to feel very comfortable by all, constant refilling of water, cleaning of table, without it being hovering. Food is fresh & delicious, nice size portions, with entrees from $18 - $25, sides $5.00, with lots of options. Four of us shared the seafood plateau, just great. The only downside is that it is a bit noisy & crowded, especially in the front, where we sat. Would highly recommend this place.

    All top marks....

Expected a cafe/ bar atmosphere, and was warmly greeted by the professional maitre d'. Showered with excellent service from the manager, maitre d', bartender, busboys, etc. Extremely well-run, yet with a comfortable vibe. Food was fantastic! The striped bass appetizer roll was incredible..... and twice the size as one would get in a typical sushi place! Highly recommend for quality of fish, service, and the ambiance was also great!

    The best

Everyone's getting into seafood, but Aquagrill is still the best. From the gorgeous oysters (have them at the bar) to the briny Manhattan clam chowder and bouillabaise to the plain grilled fish, everything is perfect. If it wasn't so casual--it's a real Soho cafe--it should have been showered with Michelin stars (if anyone cares.)

    It's sealicious...

It's definitely not cheap, and it doesn't have the choicest atmosphere in the world (but it's not bad either), but the seafood is, as many here have said, simply the best. It's just nirvana - try the fresh and numerous varieties of oysters, presented in ice at the bar for your inspection. The tuna sashimi is just incredible, when they have it. It does get crowded, but when you have food like this, what do you expect? Make a reservation! we've brought numerous friends to aquagrill, all of whom now rate it their favorite seafood restaurant. Go there and you will too...
