Surprisingly delicious
A couple years back I ordered from this restaurant. I cannot recall what I had, but I remember swearing that I'd never order from there again. Tonight, I was feeling adventurous (and in the mood for Italian food) and I saw the Aqua marina menu. For whatever reason, I put my previous notions about this place behind me, and boy, I'm glad I did. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also affordable, and the service was lovely. The kind woman on the phone called me back to make sure it was okay that the (awesome) creme brûlée would look a bit different because they can't deliver it in the dish they make it in. "It will taste the same" she said. It came in a small takeout container, still looking great with the crunchy caramel shell on top. I will be ordering from here again soon.

Awesome!
I visited Aqua Marina last Saturday night and I was greeted by a very nice waitress, she was very attentive and made me feel welcome. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan which tasted great!

Unforgettable night at Aquamarina
Last week I went with my family for a casual dinner to Aquamarina. I found a fun menu with a lot of choices. We ordered fried calamari (great) and garlic bread with mozzarella cheese (need it more cheese). We also ordered a delicious sangria that my family loved it. Our main courses were delicious as well. Not to mention that music and service was to die for. I strongly recommended this place for a "yummy" dinner with excellent waiters (very friendly and attentive). Thank you Aquamarina for an unforgettable night.

Aquamarina, one of my favorite places.
I am not into review or complain. However, I have to stop my busy routine and take a minute to mention that I really enjoy going to this place. My favorite dishes is "Linguini Fradiavolo." Services have iomproved a lot. Aquamarina has a great staff who make me feel at home each time I go there. Bravo!

Very disappointing
Ever since we moved to the neighborhood we wondered about this little corner italian restaurant. Tonight we had the chance...and it ended up being the worst restaurant experience we've had so far in this city, and let me tell you, we are not very picky! My wife and I ordered the Rissotto with shrimp (daily special), mussels, and salad. Once you are seated it is easy to notice the extremely petite table size (even for two people) and even this didn't prevent them from serving food on gigantic plates... They first served us the salad and the mussels, we weren't impressed with the food but it was decent enough. However, the rissotto came after 45 minutes, and it was not until we reminded them twice, even then it was not that good. On top of that, we got only one glass of water each, yes no refills and they tried to make up for the rissotto incident by offering "ANYTHING" else on the house, we decided to order one drink each but after another 5 minute wait we were told that we were allowed only 1 beer! So to wrap up this review, we are certain that they won't get any visits from us again.

Two words: Seafood Lasagna!!!
I've only been in once to order take-out as Aquamarina is down the street from my apt and I'm really glad I gave it a shot! On this particular day, the front end staff consisted of lots of young people who seemed more interested in gossiping and texting than working. So it took a while for me to be initially greeted and made for very slow service. But the girls were very nice once they got around to me. And the kitchen looked to be at the usual NYC pace to pump out food as quickly as they could. Please note that I have no basis for comparison yet during other hours/days at the restaurant. So take that comment about the front end staff with a grain of salt. I ordered the Seafood Lasagna. It took about 15 minutes to get my food because they made it to order. I was starting to get annoyed at that point but quickly changed my tune once I dug into this dish! I DEVOURED this rich, creamy, thick, decadent lasagna overflowing with a dense bechamel sauce mixed with cheeses and a generous amount of scallops, REAL crab meat, and shrimp. Just know that you have to like cheese/dairy to like this dish. And I recommend sharing unless you're looking to spend 1/2 a day's calories on this dish (which is WELL WORTH IT!). I'd like to go back and sit by the window when I have time to spare for a nice laid back dinner date. The rest of the menu looks very interesting, the place is cute and is located at a busy intersection which makes for good people watching, and it'd be a nice way to relax when you're not in a rush.
