I've ordered from Aprovecho many times and I'm from San Antonio
Being from San Antonio, I have a higher than average standard for Mexican food. But I will say that Aprovecho's Ranchero burrito is the best burrito I've had in NYC. Their Mole is a bit sweeter than I'm used to... But it was NOT the worst Mole I've ever had. But I understand that no Mole will ever be as perfect as Paloma Blanca's. Their delivery has always been prompt, the food arrives hot, and they always include sour cream and salsa. As far as the burrito itself, the components of the burrito are usually evenly distrubuted throughout. Which is more than I can say for most burritos in NYC. The tortilla is never soggy either! My only beef with Aprovecho is that I wish they had queso. I order from this place all the time. (They also know how to make a proper taco)

I really don't understand the negative reviews
I eat from this place at least weekly. The tacos are great, steak chimichanga and steak taco basket are really good. It's a quaint little place that's somewhat unusual for NY. The food is basic but the quality and tasty factors are high.

Not good!
Based off of other reviews I decided to give this place a try.. wasnt looking for anything wonderful just some decent mexican food. It really was disappointing. I didnt think you could mess up tacos until now. I would definitley not recommend this to anyone. There are much better tasting and equally priced places in the area!

Not recommended
I've lived in the area for many years and have eaten here numerous times. This place has gone straight downhill since about 2 or 3 years ago. The food was terrific back then...now, it's just poor. Food is delivered cold to the table, service is non-existent, prices are high, value is poor.

Bland and Mediocre
I've tried this place a few times and it is always disappointing. The food is really bland and mediocre(super watered down, americanized mexican, I guess). And they charge for chips and salsa...the salsa is really subpar too. Watery and tasteless. I leave this place feeling unsatisfied and that the money wasn't worth it. Service is okay, not great. Basically there are no good Mexican places nearby, but it's worth it to travel farther and get something a little more authentic!

THE BEST in the UES
The best for the price. Very fresh and consistent. I walk way out of the way to go here.
