    Not bad - Expensive

Food adequate, service fast, portions small for the money. Omlettes are ~10.00. Plan to spend about 12.00 for breakfast per person.

    Good find!

My family and I came to NY for a vacation and was in need for a place to eat when we got there. We looked at a few restaurants and realized it was WAY overpriced, but then we stumbled across AppleJack..we took a chance with it and ended up going there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner because there food is sooooo good! I can't stress that enough, and they definitely have the BEST icecream in the world...they informed us that it was homemade, so trying at least a scoop is a must! The staff was very friendly and energetic...it reminded me of those false commercials where everyone on the restaurant staff is all friendly and welcoming, except they were very nice. You won't regret the walk there!

    Just okay

We stopped in for lunch one afternoon on our way back to our hotel. The food was pretty good but it was way over-priced, even for that area. The service was just okay. We had to ask a couple of times for refills. We wouldn't return to this place.

A hidden gem in the Metropolis

We have always gone to L....y's when we stay in New York, but my brother thought they were a bit expensive. So we asked the door man to recommend somewhere close to our hotel on 53rd.( it was -16 in december) but a bit more reasonable. He said try Applejacks. OH MY GOD, The staff were so kind and helpful, the food was fab and the price was just right. We had a breakfast each, pancakes to share and coffee all round. It would set us all up for the whole day until dinner and because the price was not over the top we felt we could leave a more generous tip, which was well earned. Our coffee cups were never empty. The staff are the most polite I have come across in any restaurant in Manhattan. Attentive to your requirements without crowding you. I would recommend this Diner to anyone visiting New York and am looking forward to going back this December.

    Absolutely amazing flavor

My college roommate and I just stumbled across this diner and what a find! I ordered the grilled chicken strips on a bed of sliced avacado, strawberries, pineapples, oranges, and green beans. I absolutely loved it. Our food came really fast and the food was reasonably prices (something we were looking for). I highly recommend this place.

    Absolutely fabulous!

Well I'm just back from NY today [yes very jet lagged] I ate in Applejack's a matter of hours ago! All I can say is that out of the many restaurants and diners I went to over the course of my 5 day visit, Applejack's was by FAR the best! The service is impeccable, with friendly, outgoing staff [sometimes a little quirky!], the food is just DELISH [I recommend going for breakfast, 2 poached eggs, bacon, sausages and fried potatoes - mmm!] and the atmosphere is buzzing, but relaxed and typically NY. It really was the highlight of my whole trip to NY! Please open an Applejack's in Ireland!

    Highly recommended

Since I live and work in Manhattan, I frequent many restaurants and have to say the Applejack Diner is one of my favorites. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is inviting. One of my favorite dishes is the vegeterian omelettes. It's just awesome. I highly recommend the Applejack Diner.
