    Avoid This Diner!

I stopped here for breakfast once with a friend, having never tried it before. Ugh, I don't know how anyone can screw up scrambled eggs and pancakes, but this place certainly did it. Cold and disgusting eggs and the pancakes left a lump in my stomach. The service was barely a step up from the food. Our food arrived with no utensils on the table. It took some time to wave someone else down to get them. We couldn't even finish our food, and when it was time to get the check, it took almost 10 minutes for our server to bring it. The place wasn't THAT busy. Please avoid at all costs! Go to a real diner on Ninth Avenue.

No Line Should Have Tipped Me Off

We tried to eat at the Stage Door and the Carnegie, but the lines were long and we were really hungry. We decided to give it a try. The menu has every possible dish you could imagine. How can they possibly make all these dishes? Turns out it's with the same 5 or 6 basic ingredients. We both ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich, which is normally deep fried and served with a sweet raspberry sauce. It was a piece of french toast, a couple deli slices of turkey, a slice of cheese, served open faced. Not sure what you call that dish.

    What a joke...we won't be back.

The waitress didnt wait for us to finish ordering when she ran away from our table. Then we couldn't find her to let her know that the order was wrong. When we found her she was very nasty to us. The food was very average very bland not good at all. The guy at the register tried to keep my $7 change. He didn t even apologize or say thank you or anything. We won't be going back here again.

Maybe they were having a bad day...

I usually know what to expect from a diner...greasy but very good food and usually good service. Maybe I just caught Applejack on a bad day because the service was not good. They were in our faces from the moment we stepped in the door with a hurried and unpleasant attitude. The waitress slammed our plates down and walked away without so much as a word. One of the orders was wrong and burnt, the other two orders (french toast and pancakes) were also burnt. When she brought back the correct item, that as well was burnt. She was a miserable waitress (even the other tables were talking about how miserable she was) and the food was "ok". The only redeeming quality about the place was their milkshakes, which were delicious. So if you want a good milkshake go there, otherwise I'd stay away. But hey, they might've just had a bad day...

    Great place to eat.

A couple of years ago spent a few days in NYC and ate at Applejack's - the food and service was topnotch. Went down to NYC for the day and made it a point to find it again for lunch. Was not dissapointed - the service and the food were great. Would highly recommend it to anyone for good food, great service and affordable price.

    Best Breakfast in NYC

We are from England and when we are on holiday we have breakfast there everyday we are in NYC, the food is great, loads of choice, service is excellent and the location is perfect for us as we always stay on 55th & West, so its at the end of our block. Best thing to do is get there for breakfast and sit outside and watch the world go by (it's right opposite the Bad Boy Entertainment/Sean John offices so you might spot Diddy!). Fabulous place!!

It put me in a good mood

My friend and I were out late waiting for a special event to occur at midnight, and while we were out, I had an empty stomach and a bad temper because of the empty stomach. Then we found this place..."Would you like to join us?" They asked. They were very friendly and very patient. They also had delicious hot chocolate and fantastic chicken fingers. It was also very close to our hotel, so my friend and I decided to go back at least one more time before heading back home to California.
