Nice walk in market/deli
Went there for lunch, located right next to the sbarro's across from penn station. Good quality food, you can do salad and chinese by the pound, head for the deli, or for their little market. Pricing is pretty typical, but the quality is very good with a large variety. Also a healthy selection if that is what you are going for, for unhealthy, please see Pizza Suprema two blocks away, it is delicious though

Applebaums rocks
Really good food, really fast delivery, and pretty cheap.

my wonderful local
I fell in love with Applebaum's almost as soon as I set foot in the city. Their buffet meals are fantastic and great value, and only very rarely will they run out of staples such as rice. There is ample seating at the back and upstairs, and it's a great spot for breakfast-time people watching. The food is excellent, hot and appetising, and not overly expensive. It's an unpretentious, charming place to shop.
