    Great Food!

You've got to try their Fried Rice with Steak and onions. It's so good. It's not like other chinese restaurant where they use food coloring. And their home made Ice Tea is the best in town!

    Awful Experience

I am shocked by the positive comments on MenuPages -- though I've heard the restaurant may be under new management. The food here is supbar but the service here is even worse--pushy, rude, dishonest.

    who lied to these people?

nothing to write home about and some of the worst red beans i've ever had. if you're on a budget and want something fast go here, just don't expect to be wowed.

    "Real" Good Latin/American/Asian food

For any one who has ever had chinese food whenever you order a beef with broccoli especially if you live in Queens or Brooklyn you get something that is called beef but it doesn't really move, look, taste, or resemble "REAL" beef... I call this Squigally beef because that sounds right....But at Apolo you actually get Real beef and great flavor with a even better price and when you call them they deliver fast..Let just say if you're running short on tip for the delivery guy they won't walk away making faces or angry....Enjoy General Mgr. What are you talking about

OK. Tried the crackling chicken (CC) that everyone here raved about. Not what I expected at all. It was dry and did not hold up to the CC I usually get from real Spanish rest'rnts. Just a dry piece of meat that was barely battered. Where was the skin? which is usually the "crackling" part. The service was a big crude as well. They brough tus bread and no plates. We had to use our napkin to place our bread on before we finally go their attention to ask for plates. The food came quickly....but a bit too fast. Which makes me think the food add been sitting under a red light for hours waiting for its next vicitim. The atmosphere makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the establishment.

    Great food and Great Price

Honestly... I was extremely surprised. I went here on New Years Day with family and friends. There were 15 of us total. The crackling chicken was the best I ever tasted. And I am from Puerto Rico, where we love crackling chicken. The combination price for my kids were incredible. We ordered steamed dumplings, Steak in Onions, Crackling Chicken, Chicken Egg Foo Young, Beef Lo Mein and Chicken W/Black Bean Sauce. On the side we had Plantins, bread and a traditional spanish dish called Mofongo. It is mashed plantains that is deep fried with a gravy garlic sauce. All this with fried rice for everyone. Now, this being a chinese restaurant, I thought the mixed food would be interesting. However, Apolo does deliver. All of the food was great. I tried a little bit of everything. The chicken and black bean sauce was great! The Mofongo was awesome. I think in part, Apolo uses their own flavor. There is something different about how they cook. I believe that is what makes them who they are and why they have been around so long. I highly reccomend this place. Really good food! Great prices as well. Try the ICED TEA...Great taste. Real different. Sweet and very limey taste!
