Went on a Friday night. Great setting. Prices okay. Fantastic appetizer pizzas and main dishes were perfect. Service was very good although you may want to to pace things a bit or you may be in and out quickly. Too good of a place to rush thru dinner. Nice date place, take a cab.

The decor is scarface meets the godfather, but dont let appearances fool you. this place is the shizznit. if you want a romantic spot for some good eats, this place will guarantee you fill your boots and get laid if you are smart enough to bring a date.

I recently had a guy take me here for a first date. The setting was fantastic--soft, cozy, cande lit--and the food was incredible. Service was prompt and enthusiastic, even during that busy, Thursday night rush. I would absolutely recommend the fish dishes--they are quite well done--and the wine we ordered was superb. Overall a really great, hidden gem, perfect for anyone you want to impress.

My roomie and I headed over there after it was listed on Rachael Ray's "Top 5" of NYC. We got the Margherita Pizza to start, which was delicious. We then ordered the Gnocchi with Short Ribs, which was to die for! The meat was so perfectly cooked and marinated. We also got the Fazzoletti E Granchio (crab pasta), which had way more crab meat than I ever expected. Although the meal was a bit pricier than expected ($50 each with one glass of wine), the atmosphere was perfect and the food was amazing. I'll definitely be back... after my next promotion!

My partner and I had an 8pm reservation last Saturday night. We showed up a few minutes early and the host told us that it would be five minutes. We happily went to the bar where another party was waiting for their table. Fifteen minutes later, I went to the host and asked about our table. He said, "ten more minutes." While we waited, we visited with some of the other folks waiting for tables. Turns out another party had a 7.30 reservation and was still waiting. They were eventually seated at their table an hour after their reservation. We sat down about 45 minutes late. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is romantic. However, towards the end of the meal, our waiter started rushing us to finish up. The whole experience was like a cattle-call. The food is worth the money, but the service ruins it.

This is a perfect place to meet on weekday with a bunch of your favorite friends. it's small, but has a nice, cozy and homely feel to it. The fact that that the seats overlook the kitchen makes it informal. I'm not a big fan of Italian food, but the food here is very fresh and tasty. I tried the Skate and the Gnocchi, both were excellent!

I'm surprised by the poster who says portion sizes have decreased. I went for the first time earlier this month, and thought the entree portions were huge, and I don't believe they're intended to be family style. My boyfriend and I started with one of the pizzas--I actually thought this was not so great--kind of soggy. My gnocchi, however, was fantastic. Rich and hearty, and the gnocchi were perfectly tender, not leaden like in so many places. My boyfriend's crispy chicken was a hit, covered with greens and light and lemony. I also liked the ricotta that was brought out with the bread, but was underwhelmed by the tomato sauce brought out for the same purpose. We sat along the banquette. If I were to go again as a two-top, I'd request a table along the wall instead, for more privacy.
