I went for a nice dinner with my girlfriend last night and I was very impressed. The food was delicious and the pizza was unique and great. Everything was fresh and I could tell that they use the best ingredients. The waitress and staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. I live on the UES and I ventured to the LES just to try this restaurant. I usually do not go back to a restaurant that is not close by, but I would make an exception for this one. Will definitely return.

i don't eat italian all the time, but when i do...

this is a great off-the-beaten-path spot - very nondescript exterior on an unassuming block. once you're inside, it has a very warm and inviting feel to it. when an italian restaurant serves your bread with gravy to start, you know you're in for a treat. the apps are overshadowed by the mains - every entree that i've tried is better than the next. this is the only restaurant that i've ever ordered lasagna from and i'd do it again in a heartbeat. the butternut squash ravioli and the meatballs are probably my favorites. bring your appetite if you order the gnocchi. good wine selection and a very pleasant and attentive waitstaff.

This is one of the best dining experiences I have had lately. I went here with a group of 6 and the food was amazing...everyone was raving. The whole fish is fantastic - fresh and perfectly cooked and the spinach salad was definitely one of the most amazing starters I have had in a long time (it is gigantic and could easily be split between 2 people). Our group also had several pizzas, the lasagna and the gnocchi and all were fantastic. The atmosphere is super cozy with exposed-brick walls. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

I've been here twice now, and both times were great. The food is delicious, some of the best Italian food I've had in the city, and the drinks are also very yummy. I'll be back.

    Great place

Had to check out this place for myself because more than one person had recommended it to me.. well i can definitely say it surpassed my expectations!! The food was amazing!! I had the skate fish, which was full of amazing flavors, and my girlfriend had the Ravioli, which i cant really describe in words, you just have to try it for yourself.. Our waiter was very helpful and knew alot about the food and wine.. He even let us taste some wines by the glass to see which one my girlfriend would like... the downside to it all was that we couldnt get a reservation when we called, i guess they book up fast, had to make a reservation for 10:30.... but overall it was an amazing ''late'' dinner....
