Very pleasant surprise in the neighborhood.

Dropped in without a reservation on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was delightful. The food was quite good, and the service was nearly impeccable. Overall, quite good and the prices are reasonable given the quality and service. We'll be back.

Good food but disrespectful and incompetent management

My wife and I spent an evening at Apiary with a few of our friends. We spent a pretty penny on the meal and decided to enjoy another round of wine after our meal. As we were enjoying our last sips of wine we were approached by a few guests of the restaurant and asked when we were going to leave as they wanted our seats so they could join the rest of their party who was next to us. We let them know very politely that we were still drinking and we weren't sure if we were going to order desert. When the guest proceeded to hover over us and start until we got up. This is absolutely unacceptable. Especially after dropping over $400 for dinner. First of all the manager never should have let people stand and wait in the dining room and even worse was when we brought it to the attention of the manager she brushed us off and said she was sorry but there was nothing she could really do. This really left a sour taste in our mouth. Needless to say we won't ever be going back.

    Nearly Perfect

Absolutely delicious and the staff were attentive, without intruding. The casual dining room didn't feel uptight or pretentious, but the food could easily sell for double what they're charging. Think of it as affordable excellence. I particularly enjoyed the diver scallop and my date loved the monkfish. This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We plan on going back often enough to try the rest of the menu.

    Great neighborhood restaurant

Been to Apiary 3 times now and absolutely love it. The service is outstanding and the food just delicious. Would highly recommend the crudo appetizer, the fish dishes, as well as the orzo mac and cheese side. Also very nice wine list. Truly enjoyable experience

    Loud and Salty

I'm still thinking about the unpleasant experience we had at Apiary last night. Service was good, everything else ordinary. Food is oversalted and strange combinations. The room is overwhelmingly loud--you will not be able to hear your companions conversations. Tables are tight for prices this high. I would never go back.

    Neighborhood gem

I was there last night with 2 buddies. On Mondays they have a no corkage policy, so we brought 4 bottles of wine. The service was great. We had multiple waiters helping us, and they brought us different glasses for all the wine. The food was simple but very tasty. And it was a lot of food. It was a touch loud, but I think its a neighborhood gem. I will go back, soon.
